Post Wenger the answer is money, unless you’re from Brighton.

True but can you think of a player who’d choose us ahead of Chelsea? Unless you’re actually at Chelsea and no longer wanted.
Yeh it is money. I didn’t say the reason was a pure one 😂 and tbh it has damaged us because we have ****ed our wage structure and made the situation worse.

No I don't but that's a different matter altogether, if arsenal comes calling with no one else interested chances are you are going to join simple

There's no other upcoming superstar available for Arsenal regardless of position in the market . Grab that chance and sign him
And that's the approach which ruins teams. I prefer a good solid and balanced team than unbalanced but with some "superstars". Anyway an striker is nothing without a good midfield.

We see it a lot in Arsenal. A good midfield carry us top4 for 20 years. Once Xhaka came here and midfield went down the level we got out of CL. Even with the best goalscorer in the League for two years.

This is spot on. We have been resorting to the same approach for years now and it has dug us into this hole. We should be trying to fix the weaknesses in our squad with players perfectly suited for that role. Not just buying any superstar who becomes available.

We sign these big players like we are Manchester United this summer. Finished 2nd place in the PL and got to a European final but need that extra push to elevate ourselves. Usually if you finish 2nd in the PL your team/squad isn't terribly unbalanced or with big weaknesses. You can then afford to go out and make big name signings to raise the scare factor and quality in your squad. We have so many issues to resolve that we need to focus on that before we starting making these big money signings. I do advocate it if the player happens to be someone who fixes an issue of ours though. Partey was that at the time.

We need to be acting like a rich version of Leciester. Rather than a BTEC Manchester United. We need to plan our squad holistically. It will also help our wage structure if we are going for players who are 22-24 and on the rise.

Another player that everyone rates but no one has watched. Would be a complete waste of money, he’d be destroyed in the prem.

Balogun and martinelli are far more talented.

Then who is going to replace Nketiah, Laca and Auba?

There are not many strikers available out there who can drop deep, control the ball well, and create good passing play.

Or maybe we can be smarter to find the next Martinez, just like how Inter found him in the first place.

He can't even run 30m so it's irrelevant
If you pass your way up the pitch, teamwork combination play is important, to work the ball into the box.

Running with zero general play contribution means we are one man down in the build up.

By the way, I never rated laca, it’s just that auba and nketiah are even shxtter.

We don’t have enough goals because we are not controlling matches, so we are not creating enough chances, and therefore, not enough goals.

Having auba, or adding another poacher is further worsening the situation. We would have even less control, creating even less chances, and scoring even less goals.

You are clueless. Star striker for Inter is lukaku. You sound like one of those hippies who argue passing is the most important thing for defenders. This guy has worse goal ratio than laca has in pl and less assist. He has same amount of assist as Auba who you claim can’t pass. Last 3 years in their league same amount of assist as Auba lool. So much for this creative genius you are selling us
