The tricky thing with this is that is not just about the players you have, but also ensuring that they are playing regularly enough and also playing together.

Part of the problem last night was the lack of cohesion between our team - they all looked like strangers out there. Getting back into Europe helps because there are more games, but it's a double edged sword because of the pressure it puts on the league first 11.

Think we need a fairly tight squad (maybe around 26 players in total) but more rotation to give players like Holding, Pepe, ESR, etc the game time they need. Arteta's been better this season than last to be fair so maybe he is learning as well.

I think if there is a suitable offer for Auba, with a wage packet that he can accept, he will be off. It might be the best for everyone concerned. Sad way to end his time here, but it is how it is.

Think you’re being dishonest here, at club level Giroud simply wasn’t in the same league as Drogba. Went 3 months without scoring when we were chasing the title, he simply wasn’t someone who could carry us or we could bank on.

Later in his career he matured into a solid big man, I’ll give you that.
