Is it wise to buy another Brazilian called Santos?
That's how Edu conducts his business.Buddy of mine who is huge Palmeiras supporter said he’s really good.
You mean you willing to trust edu if he sees something in a Brazilian? Not the best time wise when we really need a fairly experienced CM to slot right in.
At the same time, if we don't buy him now he may well blow up at Porto or Ajax etc then you're looking at big money to get hold of him.
Never seen him play but I'm willing to trust the club on this one if they see something in him.

We spent most in Europe and are 5th in the league. You make it sound like we been amazing and one of the signings was subbed after 30 mins against championship sideI'm willing to trust the club based on their success rate last transfer window.
How have they been a bit hit and miss? You can't compare earlier years to the ones under Edu.Need to move away from these brazilians abit hit and miss so far.

We don’t fully know how well that window was until end of next year. You can’t say a transfer has been successful after 6 months. You really think we didn't spend well last summer? We spent the most alright but on like half a dozen young players not 2 established pros. That was a significant rebuild which would've taken time to gel considering the attack is also new/promoted players. They've gotten a lot right which should buy the recruitment staff some leeway.
And a kid being subbed off after 30 stinking minutes isn't a barometer for anything. He had a couple of good months standing in for KT. Why not mention that along with the lousy performance against Forest.
We haven't been amazing but there's been significant improvement in the performances since Auba's been dropped.
Still have PTSD from that tosser. Is it wise to buy another Brazilian called Santos?

Believe in the tooth fairy and Santi clause to, do you ?How have they been a bit hit and miss? You can't compare earlier years to the ones under Edu.
Edu brought Martinelli from Brazil, and no one knew about him. Now he is our top 3 youngster and starting games. Gabriel has been very good too.

You just basically proved my point by quoting Football London as "Source" for Edu's involvement in the Martinelli transfer, that tabloid (if you wanna call it that) is nothing but a mouth piece for wannabe Journos who want to be involved with club so spout PR nonsense about transfers and positive spin about the club. Why so hostile?
"The club are to appoint former midfielder Edu Gaspar as their new technical director to work between director of football, Raul Sanllehi, and head coach Unai Emery, and supporters should be cheered by the role he has played to the pursuit of Martinelli.
While he is still currently working as chief coordinator to the Brazilian national team, the 41-year-old is expected to officially start work at Arsenal on July 7 and is already having a big influence on summer plans behind the scenes.
As football.london reported in May, head of international recruitment Francis Cagigao will soon replace Mislintat as head of recruitment once Edu has taken up his role as Technical Director.
Together, Edu and Cagigao are understood to have been the key figures in brokering a deal to bring Martinelli to north London this summer.

Cagigao has strong contacts in Brazil and has kept tabs on Martinelli, compiling detailed dossiers on the Ituano star while also jetting out to south America to watch him in the flesh."
Martinelli to Arsenal: The inside story of how Edu and Cagigao got their man
Arsenal have been working hard behind the scenes to sign Brazil starlet Gabriel Martinelli and credit must go to the in-coming recruitment team set to reshape how the Gunners do businesswww.football.london
