Saliba staying, at least right now, looks slim.

We've already had to postpone a game due to a bunch of injuries and one COVID case. Cedric is absolutely gash and Chambers would've offered far more value there, specially since the reports are we're only saving on wages here, there's seem to be no transfer fees.

Tomyiasu also has little niggles here and there, iirc he's had those for Bologna.

It's just moronic when the real play here is to strengthen our team to push for top four.

Looks like they are trying to push for top 4 with the striker chase. The players who have left are hardly a loss though. Barely made the bench most weeks. We've cleared a lot in wages which gives us more powder in terms of any transfers we make. Only Laca and PEA are the big earners now, who don't provide any return on investment.

Cedric is there to cover for Tomiyasu. He's there for 2 more years. We'll probably need to deal with that for about another season at least until Norton-Cuffy gets some experience in the lower divisions. If Saliba is here next season, he can easily cover the RB position too.

The postponing was just us taking advantage of the rules. We didn't have CMs, that's about it. It was one game, who cares. 15-16 weeks (including international) left in the season with 17 games remaining. Hardly a stressful schedule.

Biggest plus side of this is, it forces Arteta's hand to play kids when we do have injuries.
