FFS he has 50 caps and 23 goals for one of the best international teams ever.

Fake news. He literally never kicked a ball for the Spanish team that won the World Cup and European Championship. Since he has played for Spain they’ve only ever gone past the last 16 once.

What's the point bringing up Auba's past record? We all know he was a great player in his day. That day is over. When a player whose game is based on blistering pace and timing of his runs starts to lose a few yards he's in big trouble. That's what has happened to Auba hence he been terrible this season and could clearly be seen declining badly during the last too. Auba was one dementional but great at it. With his legs gone and not being able to play with his back to goal that means there's only one spot in the team for him. On the left of the 3 supporting the forward. Martineli plays that role now and is clearly miles better than current Auba. Likewise ESR who is pushing for that place too.

I can see why Arsenal Fan TV is so popular. Our fans here don't even seem to understand the basics of how the team plays and what the players strengths are....

Offensively our attack is basically built around a lone forward who drops deep and plays with his back to goal linking things up. His main job is to get the best out of the strongest part of our squad. The 3 beind who are full of running and energy, Saka, Odin, Martineli/ESR axis.

The lone forwards job is to hold it up and get these lads on their bike with over lapping runs. Likewise with Tierney over lapping. That's our basic attack.

Why can't the idiots understand this? Do they actually watch us play or do they see all our games on teletext? Maybe they're just very young like 12 or something and think because Auba scored 50 for them in FIFA this season that he'll do the same for Arsenal. Once again just to be utterly clear. Auba can not play the lone forward role with his back to goal.

It's a bit like this scene when you're trying to explain it to them. They just don't get it though. What can you do?

Morata can play that role and on top of that has a 1 in 3 scoring ratio in the prem. And these clowns are rubbishing that form. :clap:Total clowns. Just for the record. We paid £50m for Laca plus £180'000 a week and his goal ratio is 1 in 3. So he's cost us £10m per season plus wages. Morata doesn't look bad business to me for a £5m loan fee. he's in his prime and knows the league. Laca can not play every game for 90 mins. That 5m will look cheap if he gets us top 4. We will not get top 4 relying on Eddie and a shot Auba.
So we have sh1tty tactics built on non scoring striker and we need to find players that suit that sh1t tactics. We have 1 goal in whole of January and didn’t win a single game. Goals win games. Auba is better striker than Morata. Artetas tactics are garbage. If you think having saka, Martinelli and Ødegaard as your goal scorers will get you anywhere. You are more clueless than Arteta

Morata has never played in a team weaker in attack than current Arsenal and he never been much of a scorer anywhere. If he gets more than 3 goals I would be shocked

Most teams seem to have these '****ty tactics'. Modern strikers are expected to hold up the ball, link up and create space for wide forwards. Liverpool used 1 in 3 Firminho into play Salah and Mane from the wings. Man City aren't even playing with a CF these days. Prime Real used Benzema to bring CR7 into play. Prime Barce used Messi to drop deep too

All that aside the bottom line is Aubameyang no longer has the stamina to press and also run into the box. You never see him making runs in behind anymore. Maybe if he had a manager who said 'don't worry about pressing just focus on running in behind' he'd still be able to score. But that alone isn't a given.

Without knowing much about Cabral he just feels like a much more creative solution than Morata.

Under 25 which has been the main criteria since last summer.
Better resale value and easier to get rid of if he fails.
Brazilian so Edu should be able to reach him no?
Probably demands lower wages too.
