got them pumped 🔥 ... not sure where they all fit in with FDJ + a DM

Could use Bruno Fernandes as a false nine and emulate 18-19 Ajax. Christian Eriksen at AM, Frenkie de Jong at CM, a defensive midfielder by his side. Fred backs up Frenkie, Donny backs up Eriksen.

I'm not sure they can actually get Frenkie though. He doesn't want to leave.

will be interesting if Bruno can get firing again just like that... seemed to have very little production in recent months yet playing week in week out

Will Utd play Eriksen and Bruno in the same midfield?
Naaah.. they need someone to replace Pogba, Van de Beek, Lingard and Mata on the bench, playing 333 minutes in the whole season.

Bruno needs cheerleaders.

You cant use benzema as a example then say prime ronaldo was a different animal at madrid. Ronaldo was far superior to benzema, ronaldo at 34 was far superior than benzema at 34. Ronaldo wasnt holding benzema back, benzema is nowhere near the player ronaldo was. Ronaldo at juve was still a animal, did a win a ballon there? Look at juve now he has gone, i dont see dybala or keane whacking 40 goals in.

Your arguement was ronaldo always held players back and you listed a bunch of players who lets be honest are not fit enough to polish his boots. At 37 now ronaldo of course they are not as they are not the same player but at 37 he is playing in the hardest league and outperforming most strikers. In terms of contribution he puts the ball in the net as a guarantee, auba did this and his contribution was shocking but yet he is seen as a idol.

I would take ronaldo tomorrow, like i said a young dynamic team this convo wouldnt be happening
What are you talking about?

Who said any of those players mentioned were comparable to the level of Ronaldo? I’m talking about him stifling the output of the attacking players around him, which can clearly be seen by the statistics. This has got worse the older he’s gotten as his desire for his personal accolades far outweigh his desire to help his teammates achieve theirs. Countless examples of this can be seen with him getting annoyed by a teammate scoring instead of him.

In regards to benzema, with Ronaldo in the team he scored over league 20 goals just twice in the 9 years they played together. Since Ronaldo left, benzema scored 20+ every season. It’s well documented that benzema took a back seat for Ronaldo (rightly so given he’s one of the greatest of all time).

Juve:
17/18 - 86 goals - no Ronaldo
18/19 - 70 goals - with Ronaldo
19/20 - 76 goals - with Ronaldo

Utd:
20/21 - 73 no Ronaldo
21/22 - 57 with Ronaldo

Getting arguably the greatest goal scorer of all time, cost both of those clubs 16 league goals. But Ronaldo got his goals, so it must be the players around him that are crap.

Also Tyler Adams look close to Leeds as well. They making thier team young but no really good experience there. For Leeds fans it's exciting.

Adams Camara sinisterra and Arronson are exciting young group.
Good player Adams, had him on my Wish List for some time. He's versatile in the Martinez mould.

Bruno is incompatible with Ronaldo. They occupy similar places in the center, looking for opportunities to create end product. Bruno is less effective when he has to play deeper, he has the same issue with Portugal as well. You want him playing as a goalscoring AM, second striker or false nine.

Im surprised Chelsea are open to Broja but not Gallagher. Both are in a similar position. Both are in demand after a good loan spell. Another loan doesn't make sense as it could go wrong and impact the value. It goes well will it massively inflate the fee they could get today? And does it impact any clauses they may wish to insert. If they stay both are likely to sit on the bench hindering their development and price next season. Recency bias 101. Bank the cash, insert buy back and sell on clauses and move on.

Oddly Broja seems like the one who would be closest due to the departure of Lukaku and the form of Werner whilst Gallagher would appear further away due to the competition in his position. Coupled with the pursuit of Sterling im guessing Chelsea might change formation further lowering his chances.

Broja wasn’t that great outside of about a month though. Held him in fantasy and was absolutely putrid down the stretch.

Gallagher is now a full England international and one of the better players in the league last year.

Has Raphinha been confirmed? I thought the last Eriksen said was that he didn't want to go to United.
