If we only make one more signing, which would you prefer?

Yes but this kid is exceptional. If Jorginho can be respectable at Chelsea, I have no doubt Tonali could perform for us. He's easily a level above Partey and could partner or bench him.

A level above Partey…honestly the hyperbole around shiny new toys here never ceases to amaze

If we’re going for an Italian midfielder, it’ll have to be Nicolò Barella.

Very unrealistic tho.

Tonali. Seriously? He will come to the Premier league and wonder why teams transition so fast and those of you saying Jorginho survived. Barely and that's with Kante next to him and a back 3 behind him.

Tielemans getting so much hate on hate. He isn't metronomic. He plays FORWARD. He won't turn away from the three runners we have up front because his body positioning is slightly off . He will play it off either foot.

Honestly. I don't know what we are waiting for.

Genuinely curious, who do you think would be available to us with CL football that currently isn't?

The guys a level up from Tielemans won't leave bigger clubs (De Jong, Valverde, Verratti, Kimmich) regardless of CL imo.

Milinkovic-Savic would come without CL football albeit on massive wages. Declan Rice maybe?
CL football is more about being able to sign guys before they move to those big clubs and spend their career there.

Rice and Bellingham are good examples of that although they might bypass us completely. Think of Camavinga a couple seasons ago, we may have been able to offer him starting minutes in the CL, that might have been more appealing to him than a squad role for Madrid.

It also makes us more attractive to guys who are taking a step down from a top club like De Jong if Barca get their way.

Tonali looks rapid to me. In fact I saw a stat which said he had the highest top speed in the Milan derby. Gets box to box really well and bullies players too.

Have you actually watched Partey play for us? Hasn't been the guy he was at Atletico more often than not. Maybe if you actually watched football you wouldn't be taken aback by something obvious to the eye.
