This is true but I'd imagine it making more sense being more based on the players individual success, ie Arsenal appearances, goals/assists, Balon Dor nomination, Balon Dor winner, sell on clauses.

Yes, but those are the types of add-ons we'd want (Arsenal). Add-ons that sound fair, but aren't literally all going to trigger one after the other in the span of 6-12 months.

You can only imagine the kinds of add-ons they want. They would want very obvious, easy to hit objectives that they know will hit, and hit soon, trying to turn the add-ons basically into defacto guaranteed payments.

Thus, the negotiations taking time.

Because many deals these days say £Xm + £xm in add-ons, but very rarely do we as fans ever find out what all those add-ons are, unless they come close to triggering or a well-sourced journalist or outlet reports on them.

For example. most people didn't know Grealish had a release clause until the summer City bought him.

Arsenal 's sports director Edu left for Warsaw, where the management of Shakhtar Donetsk is currently located .

The Brazilian manager intends to close the purchase of winger Mykhailo Mudryk . There are still disagreements between the clubs, but the parties are close to completing a deal.

The Gunners' first offer for Mudryk (40 million euros plus 20 million in various bonuses) was rejected. At the same time, Mudryk himself has already agreed with the London club on the terms of a personal contract. Arsenal 's latest offer is €70 million guaranteed plus €20-25 million in bonuses.

According to Sport Arena , the parties previously discussed the ratio of guaranteed payment and bonuses for the Ukrainian football player. The London club wants bonuses to be at least 30% of the total transfer amount. The miner wants the bonuses to be a maximum of 20%.

Hope the transition isnt long.... you will know pretty quick if hes got it. Just hope fans can differentiate the trade off getting goals and and assists whilst losing the ball on occasion. I swear the groans at pepe losing ball had me wanting whoop some of these so called "smart" fans.

Wish they would just wrap this up at this point. Sick of the media trying to create this narrative between Chelsea and Arsenal.

So, Arsenal's third offer has like 22-26% as bonuses? Looks like a middle ground or a bit under.

Looking good, hopefully it's 80 million pounds, and Mudryk can join the bench for United game. That's 10 million pounds more than I would have liked, but this is clearly the best option in the market for current Arsenal. And it's January and Arsenal are desperate.

Probably should have checked the source, but whatever, it is Friday. Edu better step up in this deal. If Arsenal cant close deals as league leaders, when the **** are they? In any case I hope defensive midfielder is next. Going into last part of the season with only Partey is like putting all your wealth into crypto.

Interesting there good chance to get him cheap but edu not smart enough
So do you want him to haggle until deadline day now, or what?

First he was too slow and bad at his job, now he is not smart enough as he tries to close the deal for 80 million pounds so we could have the player for United and City games this month.

AM is hard to please. 🤷‍♂️
