Not sure 100M will be enough 😭

Alternatively we go for a striker and make Gabriel Jesus a wing option. Either way now that it looks like we’re willing to spend we have options.

There aren’t loads but there are enough.
The money being spent for mid players is mind boggling, guys like Kvarat will go for like 200m now and you know Chelsea will pay it they don’t give af.

It gets to a point where we just can’t compete financially, I can’t see the Kronke’s spending more than 100m on players.

The issue is the add on structure. I've never seen a club behave like Chelsea are right now so it is hard to be mad. Lets see at the end of the season.

But if you're going to break your record transfer fee, you are surely certain of his quality. And the fact he would almost definitely make a material difference to our title fight, you have to be disappointed that we've been caught pssyfooting around again. We behave like someone who can't really afford big fees when we clearly can.

We should be after Brennan Johnson from Forest.

Lets not pretend that the kid is garbage now. Yes the 100m is a massive outlay, but its clear to see, even as armchair analysts, that this kid has the potential to be massive.

So yes, this is a loss.

But at the same time, we must be serious and use our time wisely. I just hope we can bring in a player who gives us the difference that Mudryk would have brought to the table. Think we need that to give us that boost for the second half of the season.

Honestly missing out on Mudryk isn’t the issue because 100m is ridiculous. The problem is there are no alternatives lined up and we’ve also forgotten how we scrambled for a midfielder at the end of the summer window. An injury to a starting XI attacker or midfielder and we’re done.

Truth is, that the market dictates the rate, we're going to have to over pay for any player who isn't coming to the end of his contract.

If Shaktar get £100m, gotta give give Snra a medal. The man is a true Alpha male. Slapped his balls on the table and didn't budge.

I don’t care much about missing out on him, for that price. It’s more about the lack of back up plan. We are an injury away from battling for CL. Or Saka and Martinelli getting progressive fatigue. I never really had much hope for the league title, but not signing an attacker this window puts CL on ice (between thick and thin, we could get lucky and have them be able to play all league games).

We should offer Chelsea €10m for Pulisic or Ziyech, and then pool the other €85 with our summer budget and go get Bellingham.

A monumental f*ck-up of a very promising window where we should've, by all means, reinforced our position at the top by adding more steel to the midfield & firepower upfront.

Regardless of how the seasob pans out, Edu's situation at this club should be untenable.

That's TWO windows now where we should've struck while the iron was hot & now we're left looking like simpletons...yet again!!

It's always a short period of smooth sailing with this club until we hit a seemingly neverending maelstrom of misery
