This would be great! Newcastle wastes time against top teams so there's like 55 minutes when the ball is in play. Others do it too, Arsenal also when leading.

Some of these teams are only even within sniffing distance of us in a match because the referees are keeping them there. A performance of the standard that Pawson had on Sunday by the ref against Newcastle and we'd have won comfortably.

Also it would be good to have the refs with microphones so that when there is a contentious decision we can hear an open dialogue like in rugby.

It would make the refs look worse. The Man U offside goal linesman gave offside and told ref this and someone in var room told him he wasn’t interfering with play. So the real ref is in the car room and his word is above the line and actual ref if he is told to do something
