Yh i sort of agree with that. People think you’re saying “this is once in a lifetime” and act like you’re being down on the club. It’s not like that, Arsenal have a young coach and young squad who will presumably continue to be good for a while, until the cycle runs out whenever that is.

But you can be good and lose to City, and any given year one of Utd, Liverpool or Chelsea can also be good too. When an opportunity arises take it, instead of relying on future opportunities that may not arise so easily.

Another thing you notice with the pundits, fans and managers is that they are now conceding that we are playing like champions and are in the title discussion.

But they want to always add "at the moment".

Now, technically its correct yes, but if you pick up the tone of that phrase or its addition, it still suggests denial and that this wont happen again.

Carragher made the point in the MNF clip that we wont be this ahead again, and he does justify it by suggesting that teams will be better next year (Chelsea, United, Newcastle, City, Liverpool and Sp**s perhaps), which drops the gap to the top....
But what if teams dont find a consistent solution to stop how Arsenal play?

Watch the predictions for next season, they'll underestimate us again. Would be interesting to justify how a bunch of early 20 somethings just fall off the very next season, outside of injuries and being found out tactically.

Yeah, they will definitely underestimate us before next season start. Chelsea and United will splash the cash for a new shiny toy that will surely cover the cracks, Liverpool will be bigged again as they're the media darlings on a notion that they can't be that bad again, can't they? Tottenham will re-hire Poch which will surely revive them and Newcastle will bring some plumbers for 50M each and get a lot of attention. And that will be a narrative of clueless and biased pundits like Carragher to focus on other teams and discard what we've done this season and how much room we have to grow next season with only a few solid additions. Because Leicester also did it, so it's going to be the same as it was with them. Blah blah blah.

But I like it. We will fly under the radar which is always good and then actual season will start and everybody will be surprised again.

It was always like this.

Remember the mockery when Wenger came in. He won the double, we were still not "on the level" with Utds and Liverpools at the time. When he said we can go unbeaten he was laughed off. During the CL final run we were always the underdogs despite fielding Jens, Sol, Cole, Henry, Pires, Ljungberg etc.

These lot love to underestimate us and at this point I believe it'll never change. There will always be a little BUT* footnote whenever they have to praise us.

Neville said “Arsenal are better than Utd at this moment in time”, Redknapp said “if Leicester can win so can Arsenal”, sly digs like that. They don’t take us serious, tbf I didn’t take us serious till about two weeks ago lol.

The pundits can keep saying "at the moment" until the last minute of the season-as long as we'retop. Their put downs which are designed to increase our pressure has the opposite effect. It's a fair point that we might not be in this "easy" position again-look at Liverpool who won in 2020 but were 30 points worse off a year later. I'm sure a lot of teams will improve but this time, we have the chance to improve at the same time. I had to laugh when we were mentioned as winners and Neville looks at the camera nervously grinning and squeaks out a high pitched gurgling nooooooo

And yet they went on bigging up Liverpool for a decade half as a big team when they were not competing for the premier league title.

Someone should challenge Neville to resign if Arsenal win the title. That would be an extra incentive.
