Thierry Henry.

2 goals again in his last game. Even if he doesn't have the legs he can score from anywhere.

He needs to retire here.

Matt Law just tweeted Giroud's injury against Everton could push is into making a late deal for a striker in this window...

Wish list away!...

Out of players possibly available:

Reus....Cavani/Falcao won't happen, although more likely 1 from

Martinez
Kruse
Firmino
Llorente
Welbeck
Benteke
Lacazette
Batshuayi

Although even more likely:

No forward signing. Podolski going does open up a space but Campbell and Sanchez have come out. If Wenger thinks Sanchez and Campbell can play at CF then no signing.

We should have quite an amount left to spend after all the income we've made from departures/sell on clauses this summer (12m for Vela, 3m for Fabregas, 15m for Verms and probably 10m for Podolski). Hopefully there's a plan in place and we'll see 2 or 3 significant arrivals before the end of the window. Fingers crossed.

Has anyone got a feeling we'll see a bid for Remy on deadline day?

Something along those lines.

Arsène will talk **** about how we have so much depth then he'll launch bids for Kalou, Cisse or Remy like he tried last January.

I know this is the wishlist thread but think it should still be somewhat realistic....

We know Cavani isn't leaving and more to the point, he's way out of our price range

Carvalho
Remy

Carvalho as the DM we've needed for God knows how long. And Remy as another focal point in attack. Think Remy gets a bad press on here. Ok he's not in that elite bracket but who is? He's scored goals, has pace to burn, is deceptively strong and would give his all for us as a fan of the club (don't forget Titi is his hero....) Transfer fee and wages would not be an issue whatsoever

Carvalho means we can shift Arteta and Flamini to the bench and rotate when needed, and gives us that bit of strength in the middle we sorely need. Chambers as 3rd place CB and Carvalho as 4th choice....

So would you be against Remy? Look at my post above. Think he'd be a hit here tbh...

And Campbell to take Podolski's spot. Really stretched the defence in his cameo against Everton, whipped in a few good crosses and looked willing to take players on (something Podolski can't do...)

Carvalho and Chambers as the two back up CBs would be a mistake. Can see Kos missing a fair few games due to the recurring pain/injury his had for months.

I highly doubt a minor injury to Giroud will force Wenger's hand into buying a striker. If he ends up buying one, it'll be because he had an eye on one before the injury occurred.

Carvalho/Bender/Gustavo + Cavani and we win the title.

Now it may be up to 3 months out. Not so minor.

Ahh bummer. We were only tempting fate by having only one legitimate striker on the squad. We won out last year, but it caught up to us this. I reckon Wenger will tinker with formations/player roles than sign a new one though.

**** a CB if Giroud is out for three months, Carvalho can cover CB for a season.

Carvalho
Cavani or Falcao - pay up.

**** CB indeed. Next to hopefully Carvalho we have Chambers and Monreal (lol).

If it is 3 months, I'd pay the money for Falcao even if on loan. I rate him long term but Sanogo as our only fit striker would be a nightmare.
