No matter which country you support, you have to give Rooney full credit of what he has done so far. If there is one outstanding player so far - it´s got to be Rooney.

Not many top strikers on form, all in all international football is looking quite poor at the moment.

Apart from that free kick, Zidane hasn't done anything special. In fact, he had an awful game vs. Switzerland.

YEAH Agree 100%

Agree too! Proud to be a gooner tonight! But regardless on whoever performed well or not, still dissapointed with teh fact that England could have out in a better performance than that.

Sol and Ash should leave Portugal with their heads held high. They were outstanding tonight and answered a lot of criticism. Ashley had a brilliant World Cup and carried his form through the last two seasons and into Euro 2004. Hopefully he'll continue in that same vein of form next season. Sol has a header disallowed, the game finishes 2-2 and England lose the shootout. That's twice that's happened now.

It must be quoted. They wre bloody amzing. Especially Ash, who has such stamina its unbelievable. He took Ronaldo out of the game, tackling him at least 10 times. Sol was immense, as usual, and deserved better from the ref.

BTW, I liked Ash's penalty. Cool as you like. Sent the goalie the wrong way and was just so damn cool under pressure. Unlike a certain becks and vassell.
