We all knew about the France job, which was probably more tempting than RMadrid. Who would want to walk away from a team they had pretty much perfected (except for a couple tweaks) to take over a team that had been put together by the no-vision director, and was coming apart at the seams, not to mention the fact that they launched the last fellow out of there like he was in a catapult. Back to ManU with his tail between his legs. No comparing AW to Quierez (or however it's spelled), but the pressure to come in and make the team perform would be pretty crazy. Wenger's comfortable (not complacent) at Arsenal but still has some challenges to take on like Champs League.

It's perfect for Wenger here. It would not be the same for him at any other club and certainly not for the French National side. There is more to come from Wenger and Arsenal.

Exactly right. Especially with France and Real Madrid.

No freedom to choose the players he wants - why would you bother? Imagine playing Champ Manager and only getting to choose French players? Or worse being told to manage players you didn't pick, that the chairman picked instead?

One of Wenger's greatest talents is signing those super players for killer deals. Could you imagine R.Madrid Chairman (what's his name) surrendering control to the manager to do all the scouting and signings. How would he win another re-election if he couldn't boast of a big name signing. :p

He's spent the last 8 years rebuilding the entire club. Why would he want to leave now that his masterplan is really starting to pay off?

Trusted ⭐
Who is. He's the one who started all this by showing faith in some unknown frenchy from Japan. That is trust at its highest level IMO.
