From Arsenal Youth blog review they gave him this below

Jernade Meade-6- Not as easily beaten as he previously has been, and got forward well.

I was at the game tonight so will give my opinions on who was good/bad etc:

Lehmann was ridiculous, got a GREAT reception from the fans, plenty of clapping and chanting. Pretty poor though, very casual to be honest.

Miquel was very slow and ponderous, very disappointing to be honest, kept getting caught out and looked a weak link.

Henderson looked very tidy, worked very hard, and was a good player throughout. As I have said before he is Ramsey-lite.

Aneke was simply fantastic. Started off very slow as one would expect, but he came into the game after a few minutes and his use of the ball is just so intelligent. Seemed to make the right choices as to when to shoot and when to pass, the win was a direct result of him coming on.

Freeman was very exciting, a little small, but he can keep the ball under pressure. He is so similar to Arshavin it is amazing, scored a fantastic goal and never stopped working for the team.

Frimpong looked a little tired and clearly just returning, he was very strong and determined though and will only improve.

Eastmond & Eboue were both watching the game. Eboue was very friendly and posed for tons of photos and was a firm fans' favorite. Eastmond seemed to have a poor attitude and think he was a complete 'badman'. I have very little time for him after seeing how he behaved.

He will only improve he will feature more for the reserves next season I expect. Arsenal are short of left backs at reserve level. He still plays in the U18s as well.

Aneke sounds great. So glad his decision making is decent - it's the major issue Diaby has.

I thought Miquel is meant to be rated highly but he seems to play like **** for the reserves regularly.

I commented to my friend that Aneke was playing like Diaby when he came on, very uninspired and slow, but then he got into his rhythm and there were some incisive passing and one fantastic shot.

Miquel just doesn't look that good, he can play good passes etc but his lack of pace and positioning is suicidal at times. Bartley is a much much bigger prospect.

We knew Bartley the bigger prospect for a while now IMO. Good stuff about Aneke.

Freeman was a stand out performer judging from that clip. That back heel was arshavin-esque and the goal was quality.

He's really hit some form and looked fantastic all game, starting to look like he needs a loan to progress to the next level.

From the highlights Freeman looks like he enjoys playing from the left hand side as he can drift in and still beat players. Think he will go out on loan next season. If you click the link below its Arsenal Res vs Chelsea Res 2-2 but if you watch it your see Luke Freeman goal it a couple of months ago. Its his best one for the reserves this season IMO.

Freeman seems like *ahem* a "natural finisher". Hate that term, it's like professional footballers who've been scoring goals all their lives need a special talent to put the ball through the posts. Anyway for Freeman, looks like he was ready to be cast off as one of those who wouldn't make it at the club, quite personally I think we cast off youngsters way too young, certainly clubs don't have the patience to wait for late bloomers ala Ian Wright or to put them straight in the team without going on loan. Great strike with the left foot. Good luck to the lad.

Well most of them are justified. Even if they've moved on to bigger clubs, our "castoffs" have never really succeeded at the top level that is needed at our club. Best examples, Jermaine Pennant, Bentley, Upson, Sidwell, Larsson and more recently Simpson, Muamba, Merida. Though some of them could still prove us wrong, signs don't look good and casting them off seems justified.

You can even say we haven't cast off enough deadwood. (hints at Denilson)

No I meant players in reserves whom havent even been given a chance. Yes there are always players who will never make the grade. I dont believe Merida was truly better or worse than say a Denilson I think he's problem that he was much of a likeness, we have too many of those type of players, indeed had he been loaned out somewhere maybe he would have made the grade. But players arent willing to wait for that chance, I mean we have reserve players not signing contracts because they arent playing enough reserve games, it's mad because of the rise of the agents input into their players career, but there were people writing off Freeman saying he wouldn't make it after watching a couple of reserve games, I believe even Sanderson at Youngguns was saying he wouldn't make it, now look a good run of form and a new contract and its all change. As for the others, Sidwell was doing quite well at Reading before he got a big head and decided to move to chelsea, Muamba and Larsson have been relative successes, heck Larsson has a trophy in his cabinet

eboue, vela and others who contribute here - thanx, I love the reports on our up coming players,
there's too little of that recently. Good job.

Great point how a player can turn people views around after 5/6 games getting in to form.

You're welcome, when the first team are underperforming it is really nice to just focus on the reserves. Sometimes I think that's what Wenger does

Oh and even though it's not exactly news anymore, Aneke is a complete gem, he's starting to look like Wilshere did in the reserves, a complete class above.

Next season will be a big one for Aneke as if he only just fell short not getting in to the first team this season. He has improved and got better in the reserves this season. So if you think about it he should be closer to the first team now. A loan move would do him good I dont think for the whole season though. Another point will be where will he end up in this AM role behind the striker where Fabregas plays for Arsenal. Or a bit more deep where Wilshere plays for Arsenal. Or on the wing the on the three man attack behind the striker where the likes of Theo, Arshavin and Nasri play for Arsenal.

On another note Josh Rees has had a good season so far. Scored a lot of goals for the U18s this season and scored two for the reserves now after making his debut a few weeks ago.
