Chuba Akpom named in England U19s squad vs Germany, a year above his age group. Strong squad with likes of Sterling, Chalobah, Redmond.
Tall,Strong, Quick, Clinical Finisher, Technically Perfect, Regular for the Reserves and only 16
This kid is another Gnabry quality talent

Started upfront for the reserves against Bolton

Getting a lot of love recently is young Chuba Akpom. Saw him at Underhill once and he was kind of lost in the game (he was ridiculously young). But against Bolton he looked class - mental to think he's 16 years old.

A loan move to a Championship team would be great for him.

And what's with our youngster getting such terrible injuries (Frimpong, Henderson, Wilshere, Ramsey, Gibbs, Afobe, Szczesny, ...)

It's a new U18's squad, some of new first-year scholars were from last years U16's, some were trialists and signed this summer etc. So they haven't played much together so far. The new U18's coach is Pat Holland, he got appointed last week I think. So he hasn't had much time with the current U-18's squad. They will improve but it will take time.

Bolton's goals were down to simple errors and mistakes. Surprised Jebb played in the deeper role with Toral playing in the number ten role. A couple of the goals Vickers could have done better for IMO. Hayden was at fault for two of the goals, needs to be much better. He showed very good form last season IMO. They play Blackburn U-18's on Saturday.

Chuba Akpom was very impressive in the highlights against Bolton U21's. He's only 16 years old, a first-year scholar and already playing for the Reserves.

Henderson's in need of a loan move a Championship or League One side would be ideal.

Aneke is brilliant.

Aneke is like riquelme sometimes he just doesn't seem to move but has the class when he is on the ball, if he had flamini or coquelin's work rate he would be an all round beast.

Afobe seems to have got on the scoresheet against Crawley. Hopefully he'll convince Coyle in due course that he's a starter.

Read on a Bolton board that he was substituted with an injury, though it doesn't seem to be too serious. On a side note, everybody there's calling for Coyle's head.

Afobe's started twice and scored 4 goals, if my vague memory serves?

And I love Aneke as a player, has vision that is just incredible, but just can't see him making it here somehow.

Don't know where else to post this. Lansbury going to Nottingham Forest for £1m:

<a class="postlink" href="http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/forest-sign-lansbury-arsenal-162851674.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/fore ... 51674.html</a>

Didn't think he would make it here since he barely started for West Ham. Hope he has a nice career.

Shame he couldn't make it here.

Really appreciated his enthusiasm for the game, and getting into the box....both of which aren't as apparent in other current players.

Best of luck Henri

Just had a look on Arsenal Player at the reserve and youth games over the past few weeks. Gnabry is really something. He has excellent end product to go with his searing pace and skill.

"But I have to tell you, I went to watch Arsenal's Under-11s play in a tournament at Warwick University recently.

"And they have a striker who is a cross between Ian Wright and Thierry Henry. It was frightening. It was pass, pass, pass too. Very impressive. I wouldn't like to face him in a few years!

"Having said that, we can only plan for ourselves."

GOAL! Faroe Islands 0-2 #EnglandU19s as Chuba Akpom adds a second in the 23rd minute. <a class="postlink" href="http://bit.ly/SUhRkP" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://bit.ly/SUhRkP</a>" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Chuba Akpom. Another goal for England and it's been coming, as Akpom cuts inside and shoots home from 15 yards.

This kid is the next wonderkid to come through our youth system, only 16 and already a regular for the England U19s and Reserves.

Physically imposing, technically amazing, good pace and instinctive finishing
EDIT : Goal scored Chuba Akpom. England add a third before the break, as Akpom grabs his second.

Akpom is denied a hat-trick as his effort hits the post following a corner from Lundstram.

Like Gnabry, he will be the name people talk about next season

The same as Aneke and Afobe?

Let's wait and see what happens with the kid.
