The Reading game is after the Norwich game right?

If he gets another game this coming week, if Vela is right and they decide to have a behind doors friendly, surely he could be in the squad for Norwich. He got what? 70 minutes today? I imagine he could handle 5-10 minutes if we are up by a few.

Not that we will need him against Norwich, you'd hope. But if we could get him fit before the United game he would be a big plus. Getting a result away to United would be massive for our season.

I was at Underhill tonight, Wilshere was excellent - flashes of the passing range and determined dribbling we were used to a season or two back.

This was said regarding Diaby, presumably after an underwhelming display for the reserves in his first game after months out.

There's very few players I dislike more at the club, he just bugs me!

Think he could do with a move, fresh start for everyone. Please!

i just stumbled into this thread and noticed this on the first page i clicked on. not to beat a dead horse, and nothing against your opinion (which i'm sure is based expert knowledge and thoroughly thought through) - but this kind of whimsical assessment of certain players. happens all the time when it gets over the top, is confronted by a few who disagree, dissent appears, and sharpens as everyone holds more and more to their own. all of a sudden a non-issue grows into an illusion of real dislike where people firmly settle their conception. With Ramsey, Gervinho, Theo, Jenks, Merts - a lot of players really. Not just negatively, once people make up their mind, hard to change as has been evident and expressed recently throughout the forum.

/Freud out ;D

U21s (+ Sagna, Jack, Frimpong) vs Reading

Eisfeld and Gnarby look like such talents...I hope they get a loan or something soon. A couple of potential league cup games isn't enough imo.

James Shea looks promising, superb reflexes.

Serge Gnabry... it's easy to see why he receives all the plaudits.

Freakish technical ability for someone his age.

Anyone else surprised to see Frimpong playing so forward?

Highlights may be deceiving but seemed that he playing more advanced than usual.

He probably figured Reading didn't pose as much a threat as PL/CL teams so he could afford to push up.

Could also be the selected clips Arsenal Player showed.

I have a question about this U21 league. Why is it called U21 if Sagna and Stuart Taylor can start? Forged birth certificates?

Each U21 team is allowed to include 3 players over 21 per game - it's a bit like the Olympics.

Pat Holland has been replaced by Steve Gatting.

Personal reasons? Anyone know if there's anything behind that or if it's just the club trying to cover after ditching him because of some bad results?

Jeorge Bird (Arsenal Youth Blogger) wrote a blog earlier today saying Arsenal were considering replacing Holland with Gatting because off poor results etc. Then a couple of hours later Arsenal confirmed on there website Holland had been replaced by Gatting but because of "personal reasons".

I think it was more than just personal reasons, poor form/results especially away from home so far this season. Maybe Holland's methods and coaching skills were outdated?

Arsenal didn't appoint Holland until just before the season started which meant he didn't get a pre-season with the U18's. With them taking so long to appoint Holland I think he wasn't there first-choice.

Gatting knows the players and has done well with the U16's in recent seasons.
