Hayden is good on the ball, a strong tackler and positionally disciplined (similar to Flamini).
Arteta(31) and Flamini(29) are our two CDM right now, Hayden could be their backup.

Agree - I have always seen Hayden progressing into a midfield position. Wenger may feel he doesn't have to buy here if he sees potential in Hayden. He's very intelligent IMO and knows how to use the ball - which Wenger likes. He also seems to be ahead of play and intercepts a lot as well as good positional awareness for a player of his age. I think he has potentially a big future, and could be the dark-horse.

Both he and Bellerin have trained a lot with the first team.

Yes right back is his chance, Wenger gives young fullbacks chances if he thinks they're talented enough.

Yeah, that has been noticeable among Wenger's teams over the years. He has been training with the 1st team a lot aswell so Wenger is certainly considering Bellerin. Although, as the other poster mentioned midfield, I wonder if Wenger sees him further up. It's possible, but I definitely think RB should be his position, he's just as dangerous from there.

Wow Afobe starts infront of Akpom for the U21 tonight and I dont think there is anything wrong with him. Maybe there still is a bit of hope for Benik, really hope he does well. Frimpong and Toral start too.

I'm guessing it's international duty otherwise they would play.

It's 2-0 now. Toral set up Gnabry's goal, now Gnabry sets up Toral

Didn't the Villa youngsters destroy a few years back? Times are changing.

Think that was their U18 team, featuring Daniel Crowley, who is now an Arsenal player

Crowley himself destroyed Arsenal just a few months back (10-0. No typo). That's when we took him. :)
Think jms got to feel the action as it was cooking.

Last season, Crowley was part of the Aston Villa U18 that beat us 6:1 and he scored 2 goals.

Almost 3 years ago, Aston Villa Reserves destroyed our reserves 10:1(but of course Crowley wasnt there).

Toral is a complete midfielder, if he can stay away from injuries then he should make the first team squad in a season or two like Gnabry this season

Any idea where Zelalem, Ryo, or Bellerin are for this match? National team duty?
Not sure about Ryo but Zelalem and Bellerin are on National team duty.

Today, Zelalem played the whole match for Germany U17 against Spain U17. Final score 1:1. Apparently Germany played pretty well so I guess Zelalem had a good performance too. Highlights from the match tomorrow.
He posted a picture from the match on his twitter account :

Sorry, the 10-1 from back then probably confused me. It was "only" 6-0, and Crowley certainly played (February 2013):

Edit: ah, I see you know about this game. OK.

BTW, it ended 4:2 last night?
(ir did. Seems we settled with the first half blitz).
