Watching "NCIS." The murder victim is a U.S. Navy Petty Officer. The initial suspect, who is innocent, is named Michael Thomas.

I know it's a common name, but if he was "Thomas Michaels" it wouldn't have registered.

The show has a British medical examiner, Edinburgh's own David McCallum as Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard. He's never mentioned football, but golf and cricket have come up in his lines.

UPDATE: Oooops... He WAS guilty! But of manslaughter, not murder.

Hat-trick for Thierry tonight: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/new-york-red-bulls-5-montreal-impact-2/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/ne ... -impact-2/</a>

GK's are really poor as well as the defending in general but still good goals though, especially his 2nd.

He was totally taking the piss last night. He was like the proverbial kid in a candy store. (Sweet shop.)

Impact goalie Donovan Ricketts, formerly of Bradford City and the L.A. Galaxy, made Manuel Almunia look like Oliver Kahn. He was horrible. He had no answer for us. It could have been 8: Two shots hit the post and one other just missed. The 5-2 scoreline (a scoreline I love) really did flatter the Impact, who blew 1-0 and 2-1 leads. Their attack was decent, but their defense was awful, and they tried a few dives (none carded) and one obvious penalty (which was called, at the end of the first half, and that tied it up and turned the game around).

Disgraceful that the ultras in the South Ward, against the specific bullhorned instructions of their leaders, booed the singing of "O Canada." I've been through that at Yankees-Blue Jays games, and there's absolutely no excuse for it. Chanting "U.S.A.!" is one thing, but booing a National Anthem? What is this, a 1980s WWF (now WWE) match with Nikolai Volkoff? (Who, in real life, is a Croatian who defected to Canada and is now a local government official living outside Washington, D.C.)

Attendance was listed as 13,415 -- yeah, right. If it was really over 10,000, I'd be shocked. This counted about 100 Impact ultras who showed up, and caused no trouble.

The Red Bulls travel to Columbus next week -- had a chance to sign up for a bus trip out, but a scheduling conflict prevents me from going. I also won't be able to watch the Arsenal-Man City match at the Blind Pig because it's Easter.

Just saw this

Nicholas Anelka has lost his first match as player-coach of Shanghai Shenhua, the final whistle was greeted with boos. Oh dear.

Anelka started himself and chose himself as captain

Can someone please tell me why Arshavin was walking over his injured team mate?

Can you tell me a bit about Kanu? I wasn't following Arsenal at that time, but I'm watching some highlights and just can't figure out how Kanu fared at Arsenal. From highlights he seems to be an incredible talent, but his league stats weren't really spectacular, especially to the end of his Arsenal career.

What was his role at Arsenal? Was he just a squad player? Was he hugely talented, but very inconsistent (seems like a case to me, like Diaby)?

Awesome to begin with. Incredible touch and control. He had this style where he could just beat a man with a swivel of the hips or a deft touch. Seemed to lose motivation later on in his Arsenal career imo, although in fairness with Bergkamp and Henry at the club he found him self on the bench more often than not. This led to a dip in form and was very much a fringe player by the time he left.
Probably played his best football alongside Anelka or Henry. Was an alternative to Bergkamp really (some may disagree).
