Just got in and somehow ended up on youtube, before I knew it I'd spent an hour watching clips of Thierry.

I always remember his hatty against Liverpool. That second goal where he goes past Hamann and Carragher like they're Subbuteo players and Pires just steps out of the way while he buries it...pure class.

Oh has anyone else here heard Ian Wright commentate on a few matches throughout the season?

He is pretty good if you ask me. I would love to hear him commentate on an Arsenal game in the future just to see what his thoughts are on the current side.

One thing that I realized about him is that he's so knowledgeable about the game that he always seems one step ahead and will tell you what the player is about to do before he does it.

I remember the Chelsea- Man Utd game this season where Rooney scored for a freekick and he was over the ball and Wrighty was talking exactly how he would take it and which corner of the goal he was going to hit.

So said, so done.

Much better than the usual commentators we get over here in the USA

A game that will never be forgotten, along with Barca at home. Lovely character, always smiling, but his last two years have been a huge disappointment for him and the club. I hope he can find a new club and show some of his class again, but I expect his career at the highest level to be over.
