Been watching some of our old games, particularly in 07-08. Hleb contributed so much to our attack, beautiful to watch. Used to be my favorite player at the club.

Amazing for a while when he was here, despite the lack of end product. The Cesc/Flamini/Rosicky/Hleb midfield really played some fantastic football. Should have gone on to achieve more.

Agree with both of yous. That four man midfield was fantastic. We really should have broke the bank for a top centre half back then, I'm sure we would have achieved something.

Would've helped if Rozza stayed fit too!

Oh, and about that Anelka excerpt... Even after the Cashley quote, it was believable. Very believable. But once it quoted Wenger as saying Vieira was the captain, I could no longer believe it. Le Sulk left in 1999, Paddy didn't become captain until 2002.

Why did he sign for Swansea with Taylor and Davies in front of the pecking order? They are young and welsh as well.

As for Eboue

I've always like Eboue, still think he offers more as a fullback than Sagna for a club like Arsenal. Wonder if Wenger misses him

IMO we sold the wrong Ivorian clown I would still rather have Eboue on the wing than Lombe. At least Eboue could kick a ball.

IIRC Laudrup said in future he sees Ben Davies as a left-footed centre half. Funny because he had an outstanding season at LB for the Swans.

I do rate Taylor too!

Yeah, Davies had a brilliant season attacking down the left flank, being a CB would seriously limit his potential.
