Our negotiators are useless.. 14m for a keeper in his 20s with half a decade of experience in top flight and continental football whereas people are talking about fees of 30m for some bang average mope from Sunderland and Man City are spending 40 on some unknown.

We've been getting joke fees like this for years.
Last year of his contract so 14m is probably about right

Still not convinced with him. Watched him very little in Roma, but to me his problems are still there and phenomenal stop-shooting is just a part of goalkeeping.
Gigi will play until WC so if he goes to Juve he ll sit out a year, probably here also, think we ll sell to Napoli.

He'd learn so much from Buffon it would be great for his development. On a side note I hope we sort out our Goalkeeping coach during the summer. Gerry Peyton needs to be replaced.

Get a warm fuzzy feeling seeing that poverty Italian club feeding of our scraps once more. They're lucky we're so generous and accept their stained cash.

Once again by winning the fa cup we've had a better season than those community shield winning clowns.

Wojciech Szczesny’s agent denies a deal with Juventus is already done, but hints his future depends on Arsenal after interest from Roma, Napoli and Milan.

The Poland international is still under contract with the Gunners, but his two-year loan spell with Roma is coming to an end.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia last night, Szczesny is due to join Juve for €16m with a four-year contract written up, as work started on the move back in March.

However, today agent David Manasseh told Przeglad Sportowy that nothing has been decided yet, as he must first meet with Arsenal and their manager Arsène Wenger.

Szczesny has also been heavily linked with Napoli or even Milan, should Pepe Reina and Gianluigi Donnarumma walk away this summer.

He only has one year left on his contract. Not much we can do other than get what we can.

We could have signed him to a new deal to avoid this situation. Again, poor negotiating.

Good job United didn't take this attitude with De Gea or they'd have given him away for peanuts too.

Sorry lads.. 1 year contract or not... it's the same kind of weak planning/negotiating we see year on year from the club.

His situation is not an easy one for contract, he is already on big money for most clubs in Europe, we had to participate in his salary on loan like with all our players, who knows what he wanted for another contract, playing time guarantee, raise? we cant know and he is not in first team.
I personally rate Martinez higher, he already has that calm presence for a keeper, something Scez wont ever have unfortunately, think we should push Martinez as a back-up or on a good loan.
Pity for Fabianski, think he was best in terms of sheer quality in Emirates era, just seems to have a bit of a problem in his head with pressure.

I'd sell him if they're willing to offer 14M. We should convince Ospina to stay and keep Cech & Ospina as our two keepers.

Give Cech the Europa League/Cup games and Ospina the PL ones.

So we sell our best keeper for peanuts, the keeper we've invested so much time since he was a kid to get to the level he's at now, and keep a 35 year old and a midget?

Ospina is not good enough, Czech is an enigma after this season to be thruthful but so is Scez., I d trust only somebodys opinion who watched him 90% in Italy.

When he left and continued another year in Italy people bashed the club for not selling. Ha we given him another extension before the second loan people would still ***** at the club.

Mind this last season is the one people say he's actually progressed. Can't win with us fans.

Wenger has very little trust in him, that much is clear.

£14m is a joke price within the current market. And besides that, we splitted his £3m salary the 2 years he was there so we paid Roma £3m to actually loan our player. At least, get him back as our GK options aren't the best at the moment...

If this is true it's gonna come back and bite us in the arse. Really stupid move by the club, but somewhat expected after Wenger's extended.
