The Wish List

Deathstroke

The Terminator
Walcott -> Lemar / Pulisic
Coquelin -> Cyprien / Aránguiz / Darida / or similar
Elneny -> Cyprien /Fornals / or similar
Ospina -> Horn/ Lafont/ Leno/ Perin

+ van Dijk or any other CB on his level
+ a RB backup

could be a squad like this:

Lacazette, Giroud, *Welbeck
Alexis, Özil, Pulisic/Lemar, *Welbeck, Iwobi, Nelson
Ramsey, Xhaka, Wilshere, Cazorla, Cyprien, Aránguiz
Kolasinac, Bellerin, *Monreal, RB
Koscielny, Mustafi, van Dijk, *Monreal, Holding, Chambers
Cech, Lafont, Martínez

Any Bundesliga RBs who would fit the bill?

Maybe Passlack from BvB, now loaned out to Hoffenheim.
Weiser from Hertha. They'll not be world beaters but they'll do the job at RWB/RB when called upon. Weiser has a lot of attacking potential, too. Stafylidis, a LB from Augsburg is another interesting guy in the Kolasinac mold, who could be brought in if Monreal is to stay at CB.
I'd also take Smith from Bournemouth, he'd cut it against Doncaster in the Cup. Hadergjonaj from Huddersfield. Kiko from Watford. Hell, there's so many guys who can be backup to Bellerin and do a better job than CMs or AMs, just because they actually are RBs.

Milinkovic-Savic (Lazio) and Lucas Torreira (Sampdoria) would be great options to replace Elneny and Coquelin.

Yeah we should definitly go for Milinkovic-Savic for our midfield. I think Malcom of Bordeux should also be a priority this january.

Malcolm might sort of be the under the radar-Lemar. Ounas from Napoli might be worth a shot. At this point, basically any young, technically gifted and exciting young attacking player would be better to have instead of Walcott. His time at Arsenal is up.

You know who we should've bought this summer? Yarmolenko. Could've been an Arshavinesque signing. The guy is definitely quality, can play along the front three. CL and internationally proven. Good finisher.

Yarmo seems to have settled down quickly. Was a handful for the Hamburg defenders, though his shooting was kinda wayward.

Yep, fits right in at Dortmund. He'll be a success story just as Mkhitaryan, who is someone Arsenal should've gotten, too. There are big, big problems with the recruiting. Limited players blocking transfers for better players, deadwood is nearly impossible to offload and something is wrong with the scouting. Where the **** did Elneny come from? Kanté too small? Why didn't we get Lloris years ago? Because of Almunia and Szczensy who eventually still got sold...wtf? André Santos??? Instead of buying 3, 4 players, money could've been invested in 1 proper solution. Park, Santos, Chamberlain and Gervinho in summer 2011 - that's the 35 to 40m right there that got Chelsea Eden Hazard a year later.

Malcom is ****ing based.

A true God on FM 15. Only realised relatively recently that he was actually doing well at Bordeaux.

We should absolutely monitor Malcom this season and try for him in January or the summer. Yann Karamoh is who we should've gone for though.

The way the transfer market is right now and our financial capabilities, maybe we can get the odd established star, but essentially we have to be pre-emptive. Malcom is under the radar right now but won't be for long, we have to get these players before they blow up. Pulisic a case in point. He's ridiculously good and ridiculously young, but may already be too established for us to buy him.

Dolberg is another that I'd say we still have a shot with. If we were to start the groundwork for him now then we could feasibly get him next summer. Perfect long-term replacement for Giroud.

That's about 40 million a year worth in wages, so they cant exactly be worried about the £7 million increase cap like they were this summer gone.

The one in the background is Goretzka btw for those who don't know his face, he's out of contract next summer

Crazy how this is the wishlist thread and yet there's still so many posters that have a 36 year old Cech as our starting keeper next season. Signing a new keeper next summer is a must, in my opinion.

*I stand corrected on my previous post about Monreal not being able to withstand the physicality of playing CB, knight in shinning armor that lad.

Goretzka and De Vrij in January tied up and sign Butland and Griezzmann in the summer
I think we’ll get Butland in 2019, and maybe De Vrij if somehow we’re willing to pay more than Liverpool (which I doubt, given their recent outlays and the current state of their defense). Griezmann is a pipe dream, and there are too many top clubs with aging (or holes in their) midfields for Goretzka to slip to us.
