Don't want to jump the gun, who knows how interested we are in getting Banega (or another midfielder). But if we are indeed in the market for a CM, I do wonder whats the thought behind it... Isit just extra cover, or are we replacing someone whos on the move?

I've heard Emery likes to play 4231. Could we be looking at Banega to pack to the midfield, this being the best way to press and keep the ball like hes stated he wants to do? We've had a lack of links to wingers so maybe the likes of Ramsey/Banega (for example) will be used in the 3 of the formation. Just a thought with the links we've had recently.

Dybala plays the same position as Messi so he's just unfortunate. Their defence is too **** to play two 10's.

They have plenty of attacking talent but just don't seem to gel. Ironically enough Argentina might play better if they rested/dropped Messi for a game. Dybala looked threatening when he came in the last game.

That's a weird statement after him single-handedly dragging Argentina to the final of the last world cup and if it wasn't for his teammates, they would've won it.

He scored 3 goals in the last decisive world cup qualifying game and he brought them to the Copa final twice. There's just a limit to what you can do when you have no team cohession and no balanced squad.

Not saying he has been quality in this world cup, but he looks broken because of the past rather than being a constant failure on the international stage.

Actually, if you take the whole international career of both, Ronaldo and Messi, Messi still takes first place but I guess there won't be a happy ending now and he will retire after the cup..

Banega would be our best midfielder on paper by a distance.

The questions come from if his game fully translates to the PL, his willingness to settle in England & if we really need another player with playmaker qualities.

Gets to a point of too many cooks in midfield.
