Who cares anymore, the haters rule this thread again. They will somehow turn this into a bad thing too.

Mesut will shut them up again though, like always. It took an imbecile manager to leave him out for "tactical reasons" for them to come out of hiding.

23 chances in what 10-12 games?

Pretty poor return for Mesut standards. Usually up above 3 key passes per game.

Emery is really ruining everything beautiful at this club.

  1. Inconsistent. - Our whole team is inconsistent, let's sell them all.
  2. Injury/Illness prone. - 1 year filled with injuries doesn't make him injury prone. Ramsey is injury prone, normally out for 4 months a season, Welbeck picks up a big injury every year. That's what you call injury prone. Mesut can still come out of this ok. Before this, he was injured only twice.
  3. Doesn't fit our wage structure. - We did that ourselves, we need CL football to make him fit, we are more likely to get that with him.
  4. Doesn't suit our style of play. - We don't have a style of play. Used to ****ing fit it though under Wenger.
  5. Lazy (debatable). - Bullshit.
  6. Manager doesn't fancy him. - Managers can be replaced.
  7. His presence (or lack of) in the team is a distraction and something the media have latched on to. - That's the manager blatently telling the media that he left him out for "tactical reasons" that does that, not him.

So we agree then?

23 chances created and 1 assist.

Interesting.
By interesting, you mean meaningless horseshit stat? Only behind Xhaka, the king of through balls and putting chances on a plate... That stat is clearly an abomination if Xhaka's at the top

The real story here isn't how Mesut is a walking chance creating machine. That's been proven beyond all doubt over the past decade.

The real story is how inept the rest of the team is at creating anything at the moment if Özil is nearly at the top of chances created despite barely featuring over the past two months.

His numbers had dropped prior to the last two months. Mesut is being neglected in the chance creation department, we want our fullbacks to give the final ball.

The issue here is Emery wants us to play like a midtable team. We're frequently being outshot by **** teams as a result, so that is obviously also going to take a hit on Mesut's chances created numbers.

Come on,,, players need consistent play to adapt to a new system, not that I can see a new system, tbh. I doubt any of our players know what the feck Emery wants.

Other illness against West Ham and back trouble, he's usually played when fit and available.
