Let's not dwell on what could have been. 4th wasn't really that hard to get, if we deserved it we would have got it. It was there for the taking. There's no reason why we shouldn't get at least 4th next year though. We just have to not go on these terrible runs at the end of the season

Aubameyang missed penalty at Sp**s, perhaps THE moment!
Poor Auba gets mentioned way too often in this context. There is no one moment though. It's not Auba and it's not even that clown Mustafi (only), we lost 10 and drew 7 games. Nobody forced Auba to be our only goal source with Laca, for me it's more Özil, Mkhitarian and others not stepping up when it was needed to.

Mikhi (6) and Özil (5) actually scored more league goals than any of our other mids.

The way we play currently means we are reliant on great performances from our strikers. Not a lot of creative play from central positions, and when that does happen it's again from the strikers since the AM is always pushed wide.

No. Because that would, bizarrely, target our most successful striker as being the cause for our failure. The string of games where we only got 1 point from 12 is why we haven't made it.

If, on the other hand, you wish to exculpate us from blame then in that same game as we all know the Sp uds goal should never have stood.

Look fair enough, that goal would have changed many other variables that followed, in terms of games, etc.

Not scientific fact but that moment was going to take the point away from Sp**s and give two to us. When you look at the table its hard not to see Auba's penalty miss staring you in the face.
