Watching City is just depressing. They're pretty high up there on the list of reasons why I'm caring less and less about football. There's nothing to be impressed by. Nothing impressive about buying ****ing everything, including one of the best managers around.
I've made the comparison before and i'll do it again. It's the equivalent of watching Lance Armstrong.

Ah mate don’t remind me. Imagine Everton competing ahead of us in the market this summer.

You will have a couple of forumers telling everyon 'Look they spent 100 M and they didn't improve a bit' when the truth is these teams will slowly and slowly improve and take over us if they keep over spending us.

Human Highlight Reel
Despite Watford not looking that bad, City were just too strong. It's beyond pathetic to see something like this during a final.

No one answers this question but here goes again. Before Wenger this clubs average league finishes were between 6-8. So what is “This Arsenal” you speak about?

Arsenal have always been a giant club in English football. Second only to Manchester United.

Remain calm. That's how it went this year. City are the best team in the land. There's a fine line between 83 points and 100.

o_O We were second to only Liverpool, if that's who you meant? We had more titles than Man Utd when we won the league in 1997/98. Liverpool were way in front of both of us, and had European cups.

If you forget about the huge financial advantage, some beautiful football there. The world’s best players in full flow, a joy to watch.

All the Guardiola praise makes me cringe knowing he couldn't do this until he spent half a billion on a team that was already the best in the league. Arsène Wenger would get 100 points with this team.

Don't want the division to turn into Scottish league. (34 years since a team other than Rangers or Celtic won that division).

I've been of the opinion for a few years now that a squad wage cap is needed across european competition.

It’s not as simple as that though. He is undeniably getting the best out of all of them.

Certain player types he does, the first year at Man City was pretty much the first time he didn’t have a side he was entirely comfortable with and he only scraped top 4 on the final day.

He’s gone from flat track bully to flat track bully. When he’s done here he’s probably off to PSG to pad his stats with some Ligue 1 titles.

He’s miles behind the greatest managers in history imo, can you really see him winning anything with some of those Utd squads Ferguson had?

At this present time I consider Arsenal as a bigger club than Liverpool. It's not all about success and history but general consistency over the last 20 years.
I travel frequently and encounter way more Arsenal supporters than Liverpool fans.

That is a whole different discussion though. It is imperative Arsenal step up next season to close the gap to City as it's bigger now than it has ever been.

I like to watch my football wondering if we are going to win lose or draw not if we are going to score 5,6 or 7

Cmon it’s p**s boring.

Guardiola has broken English football and people are using that against him?

This right here is unprecedented, 5 out of the 6 domestic trophies available won in the last two seasons. 198 points in the league. The biggest victory margin in an FA Cup final in 113 years. Only 6 league losses in two years. Only 7 domestic losses in total.

Teams have always had money. There's always been a couple of top two teams who could outspend everyone else. Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and give the credit to Pep. Man City had won 2 league titles, an FA Cup and 2 League Cups in 8 years under the Arab owners prior to Pep coming in, they've won the exact same amount in just 3 years under Pep, or in the last two seasons.

City appointed him because they wanted domination and consistency. In 2012 under Mancini they won the league but the following year they were nowhere near retaining and lost the Cup final to Wigan. Pellegrini won it in his first year but the last 2 years were very mediocre. No other manager could have done what Pep's done these past couple of years in terms of the domination and consistency Man City have shown.

But Saturday was miserable, the traditional showpiece of the English season reduced to a grim parade, devoid of any drama, there to satisfy the propaganda wing of a faraway regime. Perhaps some people enjoy watching eviscerations like this: Romans, after all, flocked to the Colosseum for fixtures between Lions and Christians that were only marginally less one-sided than this.

But even City fans didn’t seem particularly enthused, grumbling on the underground about a fifth trip to Wembley this season and cheering goals with the weary satisfaction that used to be reserved for a top-flight team battering a minnow in the third round.

We were on a good level two seasons ago mate but have not improved like City did.

By all means critique the club for failing to maximise its assets, reinvent and for the owners to dip their hands in their pockets (see Liverpool) but don’t suggest we can keep pace with City - a club that spent more on one player than Watford’s entire team yesterday,

Pep is a specialist in succeeding with the right tools. He’s no Klopp/Poch type nor does he need to be. Give him the resources and he’ll deliver like nobody else can. That’s a fact.

Like you said he’s broken English football, broke German football before that and broke European football with Barca. He earned his stripes with Barca B and hasn’t looked back since. I don’t understand nor agree with the arguments that he’s never had to prove himself at a lesser side. The reason he’s never had to do that is quite obvious.

The only legitimate stick you can beat Pep with is his CL record, he’s been quite unlucky off the top of my head apart from that one tie where Barca destroyed his Bayern side.
