This is true, however much of that had to do with getting used to his methods - and additionally, I'd speculate that his input is probably going to center on his strengths, namely the attacking side of the game - which honestly does need a lot of work outside of having 2 very good strikers. He will hopefully add some variation into our coordinated attacks, and generally with our off the ball movement - the most noticeable improvement in our youngsters since his appointment has been their positioning and movement when we have the ball. Saka and Willock have been the biggest beneficiaries, as their movement has vastly improved. They pick up the ball in very dangerous positions very regularly and their use of the ball in those scenarios is much more effective too.
This would be a very promising move, if not for the fact that he could be a perfect bridge for the academy youngsters breaking into the team who are used to his coaching and have benefited from it, but for what he can offer the more experienced players potentially. It won't be a massive change without some personnel changes, but it will still be a significant one IMO if this works out.
