Fraser and Ziyech is easily possible, £45 million for both, chump change.

But Ziyech will most likely have offers that blow Arsenal's out the water and that's the problem we face. Currently, we're not as attractive as we once were.

Don't see why we wouldn't be pushing hard for Ziyech though, something tells me his future has already been sorted.

I know people are just saying it to be annoying but a “whip-in merchant” out wide actually sounds pretty tasty when you consider we’ve got Lacazette and Aubameyang in the box.

Yeah agree, but tbf he’s a good dribbler as well. Not just a poor man’s Leighton Baines.

Him and Zaha out wide would be pornographic. Proper football.

What Fraser has to do to be rated on A-M.
  • Assist A LOT less.
  • Score less.
  • Don't work as hard for the team.
  • Be less versatile, forget about being able to play more than one position, he needs to have niche role where the entire team has to be built around his needs.
  • Miss more games during the season because his back is a bit sore.
  • Only perform at a top class level maybe 3/4 times a season, preferably in home games vs the lesser teams like Leicester or Newcastle.
  • Live off past glories.
  • Play more fortnite, including streaming while your team is playing.
  • Have more meetings with dictators.

Don’t even know what hipster means anymore. Just think there are better players available. Ziyech is a stunning footballer.

Fraser is limited, if you accept that then I have nothing to say.

Saying you prefer Ziyech to Fraser is one thing. Constantly labeling every player who doesn't make your personal short list as "crap" is yet another. And every player short of maybe the Messi/Ronaldo neighborhood is limited in some way. Arsenal does not employ a player who is not limited in some way. Ziyech is often criticized for a lack of physicality (which could present a problem in the Premier League), his tendency to overcomplicate things, his lack of effort on the defensive end and often being unable to hold onto the ball. So take your pick. Even if Arsenal could get the perfect player, Ziyech would not be it.

I was thinking this, which is why I wouldn't be completely against this. Having someone with a fairly accurate cross is gold for a striker like Aubameyang. I could see that being a combo that works. Laca to a slightly lesser extent IMO - while he's the stronger all-round player, his positioning is not as good as Auba's in the box.

League is very weak
What’s ziyech got to do with fraser? Ones a winger and ones a 10 (I know he’s played wide this season but he’d be signed as a 10). If anything it’s Özil fault if we don’t sign him as he’s in his position and is unsellable.
Plays wide for Morocco, no?

ehhhhhhhhhhh, he's OK at dribbling. Would say decent, good would be a bit of a stretch for me.

I don't think him and Zaha are both coming. It's probably Fraser and someone with a less known profile if we're bringing in two wingers. And even then, I could see it being just Fraser.

I don't like to get on Özil because they play in different positions but players like fraser will help alot in away games if we add another winger with him our away form will improve.

I dunno man, he looks very comfortable advancing the ball and can beat his man.

I genuinely think Zaha’s going to happen, I don’t know why but I just think if we get CL he’s too good to pass up.

He has 0,6 successful dribbles per game, Kolasinac level.

I mean yes that is a shocking statistic

But maybe it’s just something that doesn’t translate well into statistics but he passes the eye test for me.

He looks dynamic and energetic, maybe not Zaha or even Iwobi level but not bad at all.

Possession-adjusted stats?

Could be the away games - Bournemouth are worse travelers than we are. I wonder what he's like in just the home games?

Either way, he seems to have good acceleration which helps his dribbling, but that's his main strength in terms of his dribbling capability.

Aberdeen have a 20% sell-on clause (some say 25%) according to that Independent article, so that has to be factored into any fee Bournemouth accept.

See that's what I can't get by - the fact he played for Aberdeen. On that basis it's a no from me.

No, even then he'd have 1,2 dribble per home game, if we are generous. But 0,5 away and 0,7 home.

That rubbish Squawka article posted earlier argued he gets fouled a lot which apparently makes him a good dribbler, so dunno. Maybe he always gets fouled after dribbling past his man?

At Bournemouth. Defenders playing against him at Bournemouth are giving him more time on the ball than he'd get playing for us. No-one raises their game against Bournemouth.

Ziyech fits the style better. True he isn't a pure winger which is what we want, but is that what Emery wants? If we're using our fullbacks to get to the touchline then we need an inside forward who can also score goals, and sure isn't that basically Ziyech? The fact he isn't a pure winger probably works in his favour. Plus, he's just a better player than Fraser.

Emery went for Denis Suarez, and although it was a colossal failure, it might tell you something about what he's after: not quite a CAM, not quite a winger. Ziyech could fulfil that role, just more successfully and for a reasonable transfer fee.

Should also be noted that whoever we bring in needs to be able to score goals to alleviate the burden from the two strikers, and Ziyech's proved he knows where the back of the net is.

They also went for Perisic and Carrasco.
