Alberto Moreno didn't play football last season also he become really s**t after his Sevilla days.
Its a great negotiating spot to be in for us. Maybe we could get a short deal reasonable wages if Emery sees potential to get him back performing.

Has the management considering possibly applying for a job at Sampdoria instead of trying to buy their whole team?

lol i think because they got interesting players young too and with low wage Linetty in another good player and i'll take him over Praet.
Yeah, he is a midget but he seems better physically and also seems to be good on the ball based on video. But gotta say, his stats are pretty unimpressive.

He is a midfielder replacing Ramsey it's very difficult you can't find players like ramsey who can score 10 goals and make 10 assists a season if they available they'll cost too much money.

Think Praet would be better in a 3 man midfield. Then again Ramsey is clearly suited to a 3 man midfield and Emery didn't really try that. Don't think Fraser is up to it, spend the money on someone like Ziyech, need a baller.

Trust Nketiah to back up Auba, have Ziyech, Nelson, Claude-Maurice & Iwobi as options behind the striker, and hope Praet do a Modric in midfield. Defence looks pretty decent.

Could probably do all that with less than 50m net spend.

Yes - you protect your assets with a lengthy contract extension not with a pay grade way above what his experience/performances merit ffs

Surely we signed Guendouzi on 5 year contract? Would be weird to give him such a huge contract just 1 year into his current contract when he still has it all yet to prove. We can afford to have him on current contract for at least another year.

I don't mind the long term extension at all but to give a 20 year old those wages after not even completing his first season (at the time of extension) is madne$$

So we were after AWB Zaha and Umtiti if we got the CL?
How much money does CL qualification brings? It was about £40M on Football manager a few years ago.

Had the cretins rallied & thrashed Brighton we'd be safe in the knowledge that Wan-Bissaka had come to spare us watching Bellerin run down the flank & alight in the oppositions half for the rest of the match.

Also we'd be able to enjoy watching Wilf Zaha terrorize PL defenders time & again winning a number of penalties (of which we get awarded very little) along the way.

Now we'll most likely have to make due with that bungling idiot Meunier, who couldn't nail down the RB spot from his competition, a decrepit old journeyman (36) and a novice from another league (22). In addition to the superbly average Ryan Fraser who does not strike me as a player who can replicate his form at his current club, where the atmosphere is less demanding, in a club higher up the table.

As I said, the club should worry about offloading the garbage & bring in a more competent manager to oversee the rebuild next summer. Let us save the money instead of pissing it on the available rubbish out there.

Give Emery till May 2020, sack him & get a manager that has a history of rebuilding squads.
