Eriksen got a reality check when he realised Real weren't actually that interested in him

He'll get a pay rise but that new contract will shackle him to Sp**s for his peak years & beyond.

They want in excess of €100 million for him with a year left on his contract. I imagine they'll ask for the Bernabeu's deed the next time Madrid come around inquiring about him

just saw Ajax are likely to accept 70M euros bid from PSG was expecting it will take more than that.

Its a waste of talent if he move to France.

That's China-level money and he gets to live in an European capital, play CL and move to Barcelona when his contract if finished.

You never know, maybe he flops and never gets a wage like this again, it's a short career. Better take the money now and worry about Barça or Real later.

It's alright actually. Easy league, can still compete in the CL, and after 5 years, when he's still only 24, he can join whichever club he wants, and get even more $$$.

PSG don’t sell players though, no release clauses in France and they’ve rather bench you then get bullied into selling.

If he doesn't extend his contract then PSG will be forced to sell with 1 year remaining or lose him for free, he will be 23-24 by then, perfect age to get his dream move.

There's also the possibility PSG actually steps up in CL and he wants to stay there.

still less than mesut and alexis. damn it feel like they won the lottery

A bit naive on his part. I'd have gone to Barca (where he would most definitely start) and play with Messi before his magic abandons him completely. After that, I'd go to PSG & milk them for all I can.

The danger here is that, should he sign for PSG, whichever club manages to secure his services after that will have to set aside a seperate budget for his wages/signing on fee alone.

The moment this kid took up with Raiola I knew his destination was going to be to the bidder offering the most extortionist wages.

People go on about Chelsea in the past & City in the present but neither of them has destabilized the market as much as PSG. Their Neymar debacle has insured transfer fees will forever continue to rise exponentially & price out all but the wealthiest of clubs. This is just appalling.

With that 340k he doesn't even have to extend his contract for a payrise. That's well enough. Won't be like getting 120 and having to extend for 2 years to get 200. With such wages he's starting where most others won't even end up. And at the end you get your 5th season off because they don't play you anymore cause you won't extend. So 4 years of work for massive money, a year off, then the next top club and all that at 24.
