Interesting bit of info from the reliable Iceman @hydrofluoric acid Celtic yesterday asked for Nketiah on loan as part of the deal, player feels the league isn’t a suitable standard.

3 immense blood magics this weekend involving a chicken, goat and a virgin and Nketiah spirit visit me in a dream saying he rather rot in Siberia than go play for Celtic in Ireland.

Clearly Forest are not a bigger club than Celtic or indeed Arsenal. Your point about them bears no relation to reality.

Celtic have a huge global following due in major part to the Irish and Scottish Diaspora - which is enormous.

It's kind of getting away from the point. If you guys want Tierney all you need to do to open discussions is pay the asking price. All this pissing about looks like amateur hour. Celtic dont need to sell. Tierney will not be banging on the managers door demanding a move.

The price is known and the player is worth that - and then some.
Ok, so you're saying that Forest, winners of two European Cups in a row are not bigger than either team. In terms of supporters probably not, but based on your argument that Celtic are bigger than Arsenal because they won a European Cup 50 years ago, surely they are bigger?

Also comparing the amount of supporters groups in an entire continent versus a single city is hardly a fair comparison to begin with. Although according to Arsenal.com there are 71 supporters groups in USA alone. Not bad for a small club with very few Irish/Scottish immigrants to inflate the numbers.

As for Tierney, I hope we get him. Firstly, because he is a very good player who deserves a better standard of competition. And secondly, so you can go back to pretending anyone actually gives a **** about the SPL.

And here are next week's SPL results. Newsflash, the opposition bends over backwards, takes it up the arse, and Celtic win again. #10iar

You're really not. You're merely blessed with a huge deal from TV rights. In European terms you're tinpot. Your appeal outside London is virtually non existent.

Quite hard to reconcile the bolded part when a simple Somali boy all the way in Saudi Arabia fell in love with a certain tinpot club way back in 1993 (when getting to view one live match from the Premier League was considered lucky).

Celtic is a big club, of that there is no doubt, but for you to attempt to deny that Arsenal have the stature of a big club smacks of laughable judgement at best & gross delusion at worst.

Not much about Che I don't know. His ties to Ireland for one - hence the name. I'll let you Google about his paternal grandmother.

There's something you don't know, Che Guevara had a great-great-great-great-grandfather named Patrick Lynch who was a paddy. Not his paternal grandmother.

Another thing you don't know, the global fan bases of football clubs. Arsenal are pretty much in the top 5 of any study undertaken. Celtic not mentioned. Anywhere. It's a fallacy. You're actually just a very small, insignificant club regardless of what you've been led to believe.

Celtic spend since 10/11.

£88M spent. £113M recouped.

Net spend of minus £25M.

Big club tho. That'll be minus £50M soon.
Well run club, we live in the real world, our TV money is about £1.5m....

You only need to look at the other side of the city to see what happens spending money you don't have.

Celtic have been tight with our money so that at times like this we can hold out for a fair price instead of feeling pressure to sell.

Charlie Nicholas came through at Celtic but even now most likely considers himself an Arsenal man ahead of anything else. Says it all.
........and Arsenal fans who were around at the time consider him to be a Celtic man. Other than a (mishit) goal against Liverpool in the League cup final he was a big disappointment for us.

He'll be sent death threats now. I remember when Jason Denayer didn't want to spend a 2nd season on loan at Celtic because he wanted better competition than playing Ross County 4 times a season they gave him dogs abuse.
