If an offer comes in and Mustafi refuses to leave he should be made to train with the reserves for the season.I don`t care if his value will go even lower, it would serve him right and also be an example to the rest of our deadwood.
Should probably do it anyway, the fact that he is putting it out there that he has no intention to leave means clubs that could be interested in him don`t make any offers.

Don't think there is any hope he becomes a great defender, i.e., cut out all the mistakes or stay focused all game. He can however cut down on his mistakes and slightly improve his focus. Just doing that he will be able to produce a fairly solid/average performance. Rather than the disaster of a performance he regularly produces now. Hopefully now he is way down the pecking order and won't be starting games regularly unless an injury crisis, will make him think long and hard about trying to change or alter the way he likes to defend (rush in, go to the ground at every opportunity etc).

Still our best defender. If anyone thinks Sok is better, then do look again. At least Mustafi can defend on ground and in the air, can show recovery pace. He makes the odd mistake.

Sok cant defend in the air is super slow and has to resort to fouling. We played the EL final without Mustafi to appease this notion. Have a look at the defending there again.

The problem is in the midfield. Kola, AMN, Torreira and Doozi cannot protect the defence.

Bar Bellerin, our full backs are all huge liabilities in possession and with their positioning, absolutely correct. AMN has a dodgy first touch which is problematic when we try to play out the back, and Kola just has no attributes at all.

Sokratis isn't slow, he's just rash and gets caught out of position at times but he's decent. Although I do agree that the EL final was 0/10 performances from both Sokratis and Koscielny. But Kos is liability.
