We really should’ve aggressively pursued a right back though. AMN doesn’t shut off crosses and gets done one on one too easily. Mané and Robertson will be too much for him.
We alrady have Bellerin but he's injured

50M -60M - 80M front line .... had forgotten what it felt like... to get unexpected goals....half chances put away.... even better than the RVP season since he was pretty much doing it alone then.

2 wonder goals and a win by one goal. not reassuring but its early days...we seem to be building from the front.

The problem that city have the players to do it they have excellent midfield that wont lose the ball

To be fair, I can't remember them losing the ball cheaply in midfield today, but yeah there is room for improvement. I think that will come though as long as we play the right players, the guys that played today are all capable of playing with both feet in tight spaces.

City are excellent at it. Our team and Emery ought to watch them and learn the technique.
We were excellent at it long time before than City. In fact they were a team fighting for not being relegated. And btw you don’t learn that “watching teams or videos” you need to practice it the field... so training is needed and matches as well. But don’t fall in the city hype... they have unlimited funds. One season we get better players and we are looking much better.

Spent most of the first half smiling like a kid. We were very entertaining to watch today, feels like it’s been a while.

That game didn't need to be so nervy. We should have wound it up ages before but a combination of Dean, Pope and lack of ambition in counter-attacks almost did for us.

Playing FROM the back is one thing, playing AT the back is another. There is absolutely nothing to be gained from Leno passing the ball to AMN or Monreal on the edge of the box and under pressure - but there is a hell of a lot to be lost. Pointless. We invited a team who struggle to get the ball up to pressure us by leaving the ball up for them. And we let them off by lot going for quick counter-attacks, particularly when we had Pepe, who makes Auba look like an OAP, on the pitch.

Lots of pluses. Ceballos - have we seen a finer home debut in the premiership years? - passes, shoots, tackles, dribbles...… Pepe, nice cameo full of promise. Speed and dribbles. The young boys did well but Nelson is over-confident and needs to play more cautiously, his loss cost us their goal.

Why was the Nelson goal disallowed? VAR latest weapon in the anti-Arsenal armoury.

Some things never change, Dean is a cnut.

Emery’s tactics of sitting back after we score a goal isn’t on. We’re **** as it is at the back, to try and survive attack after attack is idiotic.

Are we doing that on purpose ? Hope not , because our play was so disjointed it wasn't funny , you can't hope to play out the back if bloody Burnley can pin you in your own half .

Everytime I see Guendouzi I struggle to see how he keeps his place .

Yeah the playing out from the back was annoying, especially second half. Sokratis isn’t good enough to do it and the rest aren’t coached well enough to get away with it like a Pep team.

Look how we started, then we scored and suddenly Burnley were dominating. Second half we were all out attack, dominating, then we scored and sat back again.

It’s negative football and will cost us.
