We're playing in a way that invites pressure and easily allows for individual mistakes. In the big picture, it's tactical.
Never. The big picture is quality. Liverpool bought the best CB on the market and threw money at if. We buy yet another striker and a Chelsea CB reject for peanuts. What are you expecting?

He’s still an upgrade on Mustafi though.

Nothing wrong with that. The turning point was the penalty. Stupid as ****.

Even Big Sam on the radio was congratulating us for defending well. Its part of the game and part of the game weve failed to do in places like this.

Luiz is culpable for the penalty but Aubameyang and Pepe are up there for their misses.

Completely agree. Apart from a set-piece goal we had two individual mistakes from Luiz. Yes, we played defensively, but with some luck it would’ve been 1-2 to half time.

Even though we are 3-0 down there are some encouraging signs. With some consistency in midfield and 3 new defenders back from injury we’ll give them a beating at the emirates

The club would be smart to keep Emery until we get CL football this season and then get rid of him next summer.

Do you actually think Emery is going to make us title challengers?

Liverpool hadn't even looked all that great this season, Southampton and probably even Norwich put up a better fight than us.

The problem we had 3 good chances we could have taken them and Liverpool are clinical
Liverpool also missed so many chances. They were clinical only in second half. Every team playing against city and Liverpool try to park the bus. You know what happened last year to all those teams. And we don't even have a decent defense to match their pace. No point in holding back.

It worked really nothing wrong with it Liverpool just levels above wr have to admit specially at thier ground
He should of went 433 with a solid base in midfield and hit them on the counter with laca, Pepe, auba. Shocking tactics man. Have we ever played this formation? Why try it now? It didn’t work.

Two recent games in Anfield, 3 penalties conceded. Stupidity at its best. There is nothing worse than shooting yourself in the foot.

If Emery doesn’t trust Lacazette in this sort of game, why didn’t he sell him in the summer?

We could have got Wilf Zaha ffs.

Emery Gone, Telly Back On
I don't understand it.

Laca is our big game player and still Auba is allowed to start. He gives us nothing in these games, just because he is faster for counters?

Laca is slow AF, was never going to work with these tactics. Besides he scored 4 goals away from home, all of them against relegated teams.
