Looks like he's not even in the squad. Absolute joke how he's been treated. Every time he's played he's one of the top performers but that just makes Emery hate him more. We're being held back by pointless pettiness.

Not even in the squad ? That's unreal. He's got a really good record at OT all the way back to his Real Madrid days. Not even on the bench . It's not really a good utilisation of your limited resources .

It's not like we press ,it's not like we are defensively sound without him , not like Özil cost us two goals against Villa . Might give you an idea though of how we are going to set up for this match .

Fwiw, I’d definitely have liked to see him on the bench, but if he’s not, then you have to think somethings very wrong between them or he’s injured.

If Emery has no plans for Özil, then get ****ing rid; tell him he’s done here, will only feature in games in Europe’s backwaters against shoe menders and tractor mechanics and be done with. If he’s not in his plans, this should have been said in the summer.

Probably was communicated to Özil, but im guessing he's banking on outlasting Emery. This summer will be where we see movement, either Özil leaves because Emery has CL and Arsenal are keeping him, or Özil is staying as we're parting ways with Emery.

One or the other wont be here next summer.

Which suggest to me that Özil is injured or there was a massive bust up in training.

To be completely omitted and still possibly have 3 teenage attackers in the squad instead of him would truly be mind boggling.

A player like Özil is useful to every team in the world. I'm not saying that emery should build his team around Özil, but to exclude him from so many games when he's the best passer in the team is ridiculous.

Ask any manager if they would you rather have Granit in your team than mesut? i'm sure 70% would rather have Özil in the team. Yet the swiss donkey constantly gets picked and you don't want to give game time to Özil? thats just a joke.

Yeah, at this stage you give the benefit of the doubt to Emery and wonder if Özil picked up a knock or has that back issue again.

Read that, seems unlikely Özil will move on unless its somewhere like Paris. Really don't think there are many places he'll put above London.

Turkey and Germany might be too close to home with certain issues around him.

Yeah I agree. Certainly wouldn't have been my preferred option but at this point it seems it's just the prolonging the same situation as we had last season, which was a major distraction the entire time.

He’s already turned down loans and refused to go before. He’s said he loves living in London so unless we can sell him on a move to to West Ham or Palace we’re stuck with him.
