Yeah, I'm on the Rafa train until the summer if possible. Can't get on board with Mourinho, even if it's short term.

Get CL and get a more exciting guy in.

If Jose gets the job and proves me wrong I'll be one of the first to put my hand up and admit I was wrong, but I think we'll see the same that happen at United happen here. This crop of players and Mourinho are not a good fit.

That front line is a bit of him I reckon. Also we can put out of a sh*thousey midfield it’s just atm there’s no creativity.

He really rates Özil so could see him coming back in and giving us a bit of creativity and threat on the break.

This squad is way more suited to him than that Utd squad he took over.

Struggling to think of a manager who is though. We have a bunch of twitter specialists in midfield..

Nah, I think Emery just can't really reach them. Mourinho's man management style is just not a good fit, even though his tactics might be.

Again, tactics wise it may be. I just don't see some of the characters (or lack thereof) responding well to the way he manages his relationships with players.

I think we’ve got characters, Guendo is a complete c**t and can see him buying into Mourinho big time.

Bellerin and Tierney are rocks, same with Leno. David Luiz and Özil love working with him, PEA and Laca probably don’t need much motivating.

Few soft types but nothing he can’t iron out.

Then list the ones who would pee their pants: Pepe, Willock, Nelson, Ceballos, Torreira,..

The worry for Mourinho being an ass in third season need not be a concern now. Just get him in to manage for the rest of the season and then offer him 2 year contract if he achieved top 4 and a trophy.
Else upfront offer him 2 plus 1 option. Simple

Easier to give him a 1.5+1 year contract or a 2.5 with a break clause at the end of next season.

With the way he's been calling Duncan everyday to get another story out, he just might take it.

Yep, after the way his last two jobs he doesn't have much leverage when making demands from clubs. He'll be getting another job on someone else's terms for the first time in his career. I think he'd humble himself and accept it tbh, just look at him here:

The state of him

But yeah short deal suits both parties, let’s him restore his reputation and jump back to that top tier of clubs like Real or PSG.

Broken man right there

Like those 80’s Hollywood movies about some flash banker who falls on hard times. Start of the movie he’s wearing a suit, is clean shaven and bantering in some high rise building.

Halfway through the movie he’s got stubble, hit hard times, and is looking through the windows of a posh restaurant, in the New York snow.

Thoughts on young and brave Englishman Eddie Howe?
I suspect our non-UK posters may not appreciate just how much Bournemouth is not a typical PL team
We need cl next season no ifs or buts, jose or rafa would get us that.
time to let the players vote - it worked out so well for the next captain so let's try it for the next manager

I asked this a couple of days ago but didn’t get an answer - when a new manager comes in, is it usual for him to bring his coaching team with him?
