Actually won a trophy, Poch could never!

Pochettino sure does get a lot of hype for doing a decent job.

He inherited a side containing Kane, Eriksen, Alli, Dembele, Vertonghen, Walker and Lloris. That is a great spine to make a good team. Almost all the seasons he got top 4 there were at least 2 of the top 6 in some turmoil, so by being just decent and nothing special he was able to get regular CL football for Sp**s.

10 years as a manager still not a single trophy. Trophies aren't the only parameters to judge a manager's ability but his sheer inability to win any or even his uncanny ability to somehow choke at the crucial stage is a big weakness.

It is damning of him that a manager like Emery who clearly isn't good enough for us, has more trophies and impressive achievements than him. Heck, how is it even possible to be 8 places below Emery in the table at the moment. Emery!, the guy who is well out of his depth. Yet Pochettino gets more excuses.

If Pochettino is such a great manager how hasn't he won a single away game in the PL for 10 months? I'm sure that can be explained away again.

How about he lost 20 games last season? There is an excuse for that aswell

He is living off one extremely lucky run in the Champions league and having inherited a good side with a plucky underdog mentality.

League is very weak
If you think about, he’s sacking makes total sense, for Levy, if you consider Mourinho is available, a legit top manager and comes with no compensation package.

Levy clearly has been taking the “special relationship” with Real Madrid to heart as he’s out here wildin’ trying to act like Perez.

Kept them in the top 4 and took them to a CL final and they sacked him. Crazy.

With that said the club backed him in the market to an extent though. They paid a load of money for that French midfielder from Lyon and the dude from PSG to the tune of close to 110m combined, yet their results hadn’t picked up.
Those weren't his signings. I don't even think he asked for them. Levy will always be the real boss at Sp**s.

In a parallel universe Arsène Wenger becomes their manager and does not celebrate when a 7-0 defeat condemns us to relegation for the first time.

Mourinho isn't the kind of manager Levy usually goes for though. He seems opposite of it. But maybe Levy is looking for a quick short term fix.

There would be compensation within a few months though when they sacked him as they would have to.
