It is genuinely heartbreaking listening to Emery every post-match interview... each dire performance somehow translates to "we are improving"

I can't figure out if he genuinely believes this nonsense like some sick eternal optimist or if he realizes he is totally out of his depth and is clawing for the light

I think we need massive changes in our recruitment too. We still have the same issues with our players as our current crop are still mentally weak and bottlers.

A new manager will have the same issues unless he hides our squads frailties with a tried and tested system.

There’s no way you can compete for a CL place with Sokratis, Luiz, Torreira/Xhaka and Guendouzi as a first choice defence and midfield pairing.

Not so long away players fought back from 2-0 down in a derby and won 3-2 with 10 men. This is simply what happens when you let a diseases fester for too long. Players want change, they want direction, they want guidance. They are getting nothing from the suits in the box.

All of Sven's buys were either poor or unimaginative. Guendouzi had been scouted by the club before Sven. The players we bought in the summer were so much better but Emery is just incompetent. Just a few months back everyone was praising Raul and rightly so.

He backed the manager with the signings, trimmed the wage bill and told him no excuses for not getting Champions league. The only fault really is taking so long to fire him when it's clear it's not working out. But that stills needs Josh to agree and to get the right man available mid season.

The fact that Sven is in the second division in Germany should speak for itself. If he was this genius he'd have got a top job as a DOF.
