Thought this was funny, especially after he missed the first time

Didn’t Van Persie have a go at Krul after scoring against him in 2012?

Nice bit of continuity there!

Defence is an awkward situation for whoever comes in if they want to play out from the back. Mustafi has played well in the EL so did deserve a chance at some point.

Not much to takeaway from today’s came as with Freddie, with just two games, can’t exactly go for mass alterations.

Lost points lay firmly at those that were doing **** all over the internationals.

The amount of points lost to draws in the past two months is unforgiveable. Especially seeing as we were in front in a few of the games. But look, give Ljundberg a chance. He was never going to undo the car crash in 3 days. I was actually happy to see Mustafi play today. Sokratis has been utter crap this season.

Arsenal's problems are defensive.. simple as that. Back four and defensive midfield. Until that gets sorted, Arsenal will be in big trouble.

Terrible hot takes
But this is where we need leadership from the senior players, Xhaka needs to be shouting at Guendouzi to stay in the right position.

Or maybe have players next to each other that can trust each other

There is enough to worry about without having to babysit somebody else!

Don't think there's any point reading anything into this first game

An away game with injured personnel and very poor form/morale and no prep time.

Until we change the following our team will always be found wanting.

1) No power in central midfield which means our midfield easily gets bypassed. We don't have an aggresive athletic ball winner or a direct player who can dribble with the ball from deep.
2) No player who can dribble and create at a high level from the wings.
3) A CB pairing of Luiz/Sok or Luiz/Mustafi is a disaster waiting to happen everytime.

Yeah, people seem to overlook that both Holding and Bellerin were out injured so didn't even have that choice to make. Ceballos is also out as well.

Didn't watch the game but heard we looked much more threatening going forward. No surprises about being constantly hit on the break. As long as we free up our attack, there's atleast some chance of winning a few games. We are never going to be airtight at the back with the midfield and centre back we have right now. Might as well as go out swinging.

Aubameyang's overall game is so poor.
Martinelli absolutely must, and should have today, play more, or come earlier

Shocking level of confidence for our CB's who keep backing off from strikers like they got plague coming at them

Leno is class

but,
if we are ready to bench Pepe for being lazy in trainings, freeze Özil for months, or throw our captain under the bus, then surely we must be ready to play starting 11 where everyone is playing their best position.. Certainly it means few big names end on the bench, but we already showed we have no probs doing that. At least this time it would be for teams good

So.... People have started to get onto Freddie's back now. Seems like the same old culprits too. There is alot of work to do with this squad. It is severely unbalanced. Our midfield cannot tackle and are bypassed way too easily. We lack aggression defensively on the whole. So many areas beed addressing starting with midfield and defence. We didn't lose but really do need to be more aggressive without the ball.

I loved Ljungberg as player, but he is obviously not capable enough of being Arsenal-boss. We need to get a capable manager ASAP.
