This Ange Postecoglu might be the ticket. Commanding manager and has improved every team his been to. Unknown in these shores. Low expectations.

a tough Australian who looks a real no-nonsense type - and we didn't do too badly the last time we hired someone with Japanese league experience

can't see Raul or Edu being tempted though - he looks as if he could take them both out one-handed

I know nothing about this Ange Postecoglu guy but looking at him I would be scared to screw up if he was my coach lol I think he could a good manager for us. Just did a little read up on him and he seems like a tough character who would drill our boys back up and get them playing aggressively.

If it's up to me I would take my pick from these guys (no particular order)

Carlo Ancelotti
Antonio Conte
Diego Simeone
Louis van Gaal
Erik ten Hag
Zinedine Zidane

These guys was my top 5 list to succeed Wenger
1. Luis Enrique
2. Thomas Tuchel
3. Max Allegri
4. Brendan Rodgers
5. Leonardo Jardim

And here`s my top 4 list of managers we can get now (i know the board will not go for any of these managers but..)
1. Carlo Ancelotti
2. Leonardo Jardim
3. Diego Simeone (if he gets sacked by Atletico, which is unlikely)
4. Poch

Not good enough for Arsenal, is that that Jose.

We need to face the fact that we do not have the financial resources for someone like Mourinho.

We need to build on a budget, that is a commitment to youth, cutting edge coaching and proper use of our attacking players.

The problem with Mourinho wasn't that he wasn't "good enough for Arsenal," it was that he's a ****ing douche who continually disrespected our greatest manager and acts like a child as soon as things don't go his way.

I agree with you, I was just being a sh*t.

That being said if we're seriously considering Artera/ Vieira and co as suitable managerial candidates then I would have taken Mourinho all day.

Yeah Arteta is interesting just because there seems to be some real hype about him from people who should know. I was open to him when Emery was first let go but now I'm really not sure at all. Could be we need an experienced manager at this point. A lot has changed in a week

Vieira is not a good option at all I don't think.

Arsenal Ladies were revitalised by an Aussie Manager with European heritage.
Here's a couple of articles on Postecoglou. If nothing else, he's a conviction coach - you're either in or out with him. It's also tough, attacking football that changes as the team and players evolve. The question is whether he could translateall that to the league, and of that I'm not sure.

Thanks for this. I've read the articles and am impressed by him even more. We need someone who will change the ethos of the club, much like Arsène did.

Someone who will over haul the attitude of the whole club and who is motivated by principles. I think he will be able to translate his principle to our league.

Even though I've just heard about him, I really want him at the club now.

Why do you have doubts?
