Arteta needs to address our frailties this half;

Coping with their smart buildup, basically involving the extra man
Being able to play through their press and not kick long.
Getting the ball switched or down the line quicker and more accurately.

Lucky we not at least goal down Leeds played much much better pressing movements passing the midfield today we put its not working Özil look either isolated or can't comes deep. Laca Nelson poor again pepe trying but poor

Might be unfair but I’m going to blame Holding’s two early, unforced errors for creating this nervous energy and letting them onto us.

Good learnings for Arteta in this game

Missing AMN and Torreira both... in Arteta’s previous setup they were essentially the double pivot, with Xhaka going to left back space, AMN tucking in to midfield, and Guendouzi on the bench.

Xhaka and Guendouzi simply do not work together. Never want to see this pairing again. Guendouzi needs a season or two of work before he can be relied on.

Will be interesting to see the adjustments in the 2nd half.

The difference between a well drilled fit team with the same ideas vs a newly drilled team lacking sharpness!!

A great advertisement to what we can be with the right blend of players and a pre-season

Guendouzi...Emery puts his faith in him as a starter this season, we have our worst start in the premier league era, Emery is later sacked...Arteta takes over and drops him, we then have our three best performances this season...Guendouzi starts against a lower division team, and we get outplayed massively.

What a wonder kid!
It's not his fault. He doesn't fit in this system. We need a juice carrier.

Leeds have been very impressive.

For us, we need to get more compact. Need the players to get closer together, create more connections in order to beat the press and create space behind.

Its not Xhaka's fault Guendouzi is having a stinker.

Because Xhaka is playing great isn't he? Getting beaten to every ball and just narrowly avoided losing the ball as the last man at least 3 or 4 times.

Lucky to still be at 0-0.... Need to get Özil in the game.
I'd take him off and expect him to either be subbed at HT or very soon. If he's going to be integral to our season then he shouldn't even be playing tonight. Pointless.

Xhaka and Douzi are getting absolutely killed by a bit of pressure from a Championship side  Leeds is a good side though. Changes needed.

We’ve lost the 2-3 shape at the back in possession and have reverted to the 3-2 seen under Emery.

Sok is staying in line with Luiz and Holding, unlike AMN who tucked into midfield. Also, especially at the beginning of the half Xhaka was staying very central while Kola bombed on to join the attacking 5.

When Holding attempted the pass to Xhaka early in the half, Holding told Xhaka where he should have been.

We don’t have the personnel right now. Injuries and the lack of recruitment in key positions are the reason. Without AMN, no one is doing his role and the team is falling apart as a result
