Özil and Pepe having a stinker this game. I think our defenders are too scared to play in Xhaka and Torreira who have both been solid in midfield. If we play with more confidence and start actually passing to the midfield this game is in the bag.

Ok performance so far, honestly it's less our fault than Pallas stepping up to cope with us. They won't sustain that towards the end of the game.

And overall we allowed just 1 shot. That's pretty great considering our previous form.

First 30 minutes were fantastic as well. Don't see the negativity. Comfortable so far.

Good first half, but at the end we were disorganised in the game

Auba pepe Özil all should drop deep we are winning with crystal Palace high press we need options when we play in our area only Luiz is trying to play. Xhaka Torreira need ti take more risks

When Özil is having a quiet game we only have Luiz to pass the ball up. Xhaka despite being more solid under Arteta still doesn't offer enough.
If Özil doesn't show up which happens every few games , we struggle.
They're swarming him, quite intelligent.

Pepe was having a great time because of that

Palace plan- let us have the 1st 15-20mins until we settle into low gear then they kick it up a notch and we struggle to wake back up and match the intensity. Up to Mikel now to put a rocket up the ass and make the boys relentless.

Why can't we hold on to good spells for longer than five mins? It became all Palace.

In this instance I think it's cos some of the players aren't quite good enough, especially when passing under pressure.

There were instances where we had the chance to break and a slightly better set of movement would've resulted in us getting out but the player would be too slow or fall over when we could've countered, it happened way too much.

Fwiw, Özil was absolute key in the goal we scored, how he touched that pass off from Luiz to Laca is sexy.

This is the sort of game where performance isn’t that important. We need to be racking up wins and as long as Arteta has a few different ways to do that then it’s all good. Would like an early second goal though so I don’t hsve to sit with my arse clenched so tight.

utterly terrible from 20 mins on. Pepes touch was terrible when Cahill fell over, and that should have been two.. but its like were playing with 8 men..

Özil.. nothing at all

Pepe.. nothing at all

Laca.. one killer pass.. then nothing at all

Palace have simply copped on that if they push up, and cut off the Luiz option, Arsenal are in trouble because Sokratis cant play football

Just as well Palace are rubbish.. cause it could easily be 1-1, when it should be 3-0 by 15 mins

Hopefully another half time rocket here

They going to shut Luiz down this next half. He remains our key today I reckon, especially if given time on the ball.

He hasn't shown up since Man Utd, two games ago. Just doesn't look able to get involved. He was on the periphery against Leeds, at best, but he's nowhere to be seen today, and we're firmly on top. So that myth continues to be murdered every week.
Just receiving the ball and in one excellent touch letting Laca in front to play it for Auba. God this is why I watch the matches in Spanish with Argentinian comments.

Mod Edit: cut out the personal attacks

The myth that we are struggling to get the ball up if it isn't from Özil or Luiz atm? I don't see how that's a myth....

Imagine how the Lacazette haters would have reacted if that (beautiful) assist had come from Özil.

Would be posting gifs of it for weeks.

He literally passed the ball down a straight line where Auba was making the run, Özil does that all the time lol. If Lacazette did anything other than pass to Auba it would be a terrible decision.

Luiz pass to Özil was the best part of the move tbh.
