Very well-known
Would say Wenger only had one truly elite team during his time, even that for 2/3 years.

The rest of the time we were punching above our weight.

Even in Europe, Wenger over achieved.
22 years of champions league and he won nothing, I think Wenger would be the first to admit he underachieved in that tournament given all the other top English clubs won it in that time frame.

So how long will these insufferable wankers dominate for?
The core of their squad are all a similar age we'll have to see how they invest in younger players the next couple of windows to determine that. They have the gold standard of managers though which is a big factor.

From 2006 we were in that competition with kids or small budgets squads. The first few years under Wenger we weren’t in the competition. Only had an elite team from 2000-2004 maybe.

I think the 1997-1999 team was elite...

...but as you say, bar that team, and the 2001-2005 squads, we have always been below that level since.

We had some of the best players in Europe. Wenger didn’t have the tactical knowledge to deliver as much success as he should have.

Did you see what else was in Europe at the time ? AC ,Inter ,Juventus , Real , Barca , Munich all of them pretty much at their pomp . Even Valencia and Deportivo. Even SAF only delivered 2 European trophies in 20 years .

True. Wenger slugged it out with the greatest teams and managers.

Bayern and Barca were at their absolute pomp. Especially Barca. They had two super teams, the one with Henry/Etoo and the subsequent one with Messi/Iniesta. Also you had SAF, LvG, Ancelotti, Mourinho, Capello.

It is a really poverty time now. You barely have any good managers...Zidane, a burnt out Maureen, Pep and Klopp.

And.... Mourinho’s Porto?
We even got knocked out by a Drogbaless Chelsea.

We had a small squad mate , we had the Fa cup game a few days before we hadn't lost to Chelsea in any comp for 10 years before that . Don't see how tactics play a part there .

How do they maintain supreme levels of fitness ?

VVD seems to be a freak of nature, didn't miss a game for **** knows how long.
Same with their fullbacks, Allison and their attacking trio.

They're drugging, there's no other explanation.

Imagine being able to play 90-100% of your top XI for the majority of several consecutive seasons.

That hasn't happened for us for literally 15 years.

Will LiVARpool be investigated? Will they ****.

I am not going in conspiracy theory territories, that's RAWK-ish.

It just seems like this is the form of champions, there was a similar trend when Leicester won the title. Their whole team, although thin, was barely injured the whole season despite running insane levels of highly-dynamic games.

The crazy thing about Ferguson was he was very jammy wining each of his CL’s.

1999 was obviously ridiculous but in 2008, if Drogba hadn't got himself sent off which meant Terry took the 5th penalty shot then slipped.

Even then if Anelka hadn’t ignored the Chelsea shoot out instructions then Ferguson comes up empty handed.

Agreed.

Can't find a link ATM but I'm reasonably sure that Wenger came out after the fact and said that he was wrong to pursue all three major competitions that season [CL, FA Cup, EPL].

Should've tanked in the FA Cup.
