Read before that Bayern predict they’ll lose 100m Euros due to the virus.

If that’s similar for us we’ll be selling to buy.
I don't know whether that's a bad thing to be honest. I'd pretty much get rid of a huge chunk of the senior players though then again investing would be pretty difficult. We'd just be making up for losses and hardly be able to sign good players.

But it isn't like Bayern are the only team losing money. All the teams are losing a lot of money. Teams have to be able to buy players for us to be able to sell them.

All of the teams are in a similar position.

Arsenal will have compareably small problems to lower league clubs who might get to the brink of existence. There's myriads of people working off field in that industry, myriads of lower league clubs in real struggle to survive even along their players cause they're not in the big money leagues...and people on here talke about Arsenal having to sell to buy.

It's just like that **** Rummenigge complaining about last weekend's matchday being absolutely reasonably canceled being a bad thing because Bayern miss out on money. **** you Mr. backpack full of Rolexes from Katar.

Arsenal have held talks with Hammarby over a deal for teenage star Emil Roback as they try to beat Bayern Munich to his signature.

The 16-year-old forward is being tipped for big things in Sweden and he is attracting plenty of interest.

Bayern Munich have already made contact over a move for the Sweden Under-17 international, but now Arsenal have joined the hunt.

“We were contacted and know about the interest [from Bayern]. He has also met Arsenal,” Hammarby sports director Jesper Jansson told Fotboll Direkt.

“There’s a strong interest and there are more clubs as well. He’s also been to Arsenal. Yes, I understand the interest.

“He is a forward with a great physique and speed and already a skilled goalscorer.”

Arsenal have given plenty of young players chance this season - particularly those from their academy - and it is thought that could be an attractive proposition for Roback.

I know Arsenal is loaded with young forwards but if Arsenal can get him for decent price. Less than 20 million pounds, I'd say sign the lad. If Bayern Munich are interested then you know the kid is a major talent!

Yeah it’s crazy that an Arsenal fan is talking about Arsenal in an Arsenal transfer thread.

If there’s even a transfer window I think it’ll be really quiet. Would expect us to sign Mori and Cedric and possibly one or two more if the likes of Aubameyang and Lacazette leave.

I'd be gutted if we don't get Benrahma, at least one of Partey/ Zakaria/Sangare and Max Aarons. That should be the least we do this summer if we are looking to doing smart business and getting back to being the Arsenal.

Signings like Soares will only ensure that we retain our new tag as a mid-table team and we would soon enough start battling relegation.

Nough of this lacking money ****, if we don't properly, and I mean properly invest, we are fvcked! Wenger, one of the most elite and experienced managers in football history could barely sustain our top-four challenge when finances got rough. To think that an up-coming coach would hack top-four in this league with a 6th/7th/8th best squad is the stuff of dreams. Look at Chelsea with a more balanced and more talented squad but they are still struggling under a less experienced manager who has more experience than Arteta!

We have to be serious as a club and smartly put money where our mouth is, lest we do a Leeds.

Question I have is, we are a pretty bad club with transfers, will we be willing & stupid enough to sell Martinelli, Saka & Auba within a year of each other? If we do I'll be devastated & maybe even stop watching us for a bit.

"It is understood that in recent months Rosenfeld’s influence had been reduced as Arsenal’s new executive structure took shape, with head of football Raul Sanllehi preferring a contact-led approach to transfer business."

Arseblog says this then :

For those who harbour concerns about what a ‘contact-led’ recruitment strategy means, this is worrying. Especially if you’re already worried about the likes of Jorge Mendes (currently being investigated in a money laundering investigation) being a very expensive middle-man for the Nicolas Pepe deal, and think someone like Kia Joorabchian dancing around in the director’s box is a bit unseemly as he tries to move his entire rag-tag collection of players to the club. Those are the men close to Sanllehi, and their first interest is not in making Arsenal the best team it can possibly be.

Looking in here peaked my intrigue- https://www.transfermarkt.com/statistik/endendevertraege

Let's say the season finishes and transfer window does open without us finishing in European places. Given the state of affairs with Corona and the hit of no European football forces us to consider selling our "assets".

So, we have Lacazette, Aubameyang, Xhaka, Özil, Mustafi, Bellerin, AMN, Sokratis, Chambers, Mkhitaryan, Holding, Mavropanos, Kolasinac and Elneny who could all fetch a sizeable amount of cash as well as free up wages.

Now, lets just for the sake of some fun imagine this fire sale happens in the summer. Nearly all of those misfits including Auba and Laca are sold for an acceptable amount of cash and we generate a usable budget for a complete rebuild.

So now instead of going after big name expensive senior players we pick up some seasoned, highly professional and still capable top end players on a free transfer or cheap to short contracts while making better use of loans with a few big money moves.

From that list, we sign Cavani, Mertens, Aranguiz, Walter Benitez and Lallana or Bonaventura for free. We get Coutinho on an initial loan with a permanent option and do the same with Ceballos. With the cash we put money towards someone like Zakaria and maybe on a prospect midfielder with top end potential to sort out midfield.

Then with what's left we go all in to sort out the back line with no mercy. We go all in to get Ben White, Pau Torres or Gabriel and Smalling for CB. For the full back positions, we buy Max Aarons and get someone nearing their peak years for RB. At LB we should probably be after someone more mature than Tierney and defense oriented with high level experience.

Then we wrap it up by signing of Nice on a free transfer.

ST- Cavani, Martinelli, Mertens, Nketiah
LW- Mertens, Saka, Martinelli, Coutinho
RW- Willian, Pepe, Nelson
CAM- Coutinho, Willian, Ceballos, ESR
CM- Zakaria, Ceballos, Torreira, Guendouzi, Willock, Aranguiz, Coutinho, ESR
LB- Alex Telles, Tierney, Kolasinac
RB- Atal, Aarons, Bellerin,
CB- David Luiz, Pau Torres/Gabriel, Saliba, Holding, Ben White, Smalling
GK- Leno, Benitez, Martinez

Best squad rebuild ever imqho.

Those people are always dealing with the best players, clubs, coaches and people who are constantly succeeding more often than not over quite a few years now. They must be on to something to be that good, right?

Making Arsenal the best team it possibly can be ain't happening by our constant interest in hovering around, eyeing, following, stalking or whatever we do with players and Jorge Mendes-Kia et all get at them to nothing clubs doing better than us.
