Weirdly enough Sagna joined City literally the wrong time. Signed just after their league title win, didn't really win anything bar the league cup and by the time Pep came in he was completely finished and then left before City's won the league with 100 points. We actually won more trophies than City while Sagna was there.

Also got to say Cesc is right up there in terms of sneaky fall offs. Aside from 7 months under Mourinho he became a complete liability after that, even in the Conte title winning season he was a shadow of his former self.

Started only 13 games and barely used in big matches. Pretty shocking that someone like Cazorla who needed full skin grafts on his foot was able to adapt his game and play at a much higher level than Cesc for far longer.

The 07-08 team was so damn frustrating, in how quickly it broke apart, the midfield especially.

We went from having one of the best working midfields in the league, to having just one of them left the next season due to sales and injuries...only Arsenal

Cesc was great on the pitch for us, but disappointed in how he is throwing his teammates under the bus...all of Fabregas’ Emirates era teams he played in, were pretty good really, just unlucky not to win a trophy.

Eduardo's injury just killed us.Shame, that was a decent team.

Cesc was playing at a top level when he was 18 though. Dominating the likes of Man U, Real and Juve home and away ffs. He was twice the player Cazorla was, just like Rooney was miles better than somebody like Kane. Peaking early has a negative effect on your reputation.

Yeah of course prime Cesc is a different galaxy to Santi. It’s just shocking that he’s been an almost complete non-entity after 2014.

When he left us thought he’d get up into that great bracket of players like Iniesta or Xavi but outside of the first half of 14/15 his career has been in a tailspin ever since going to Barca.

Looking at him now struggling to get into a midtable Monaco side is just depressing.

That’s because players tend to regress in their late 20’s and early 30’s. Cesc at 24 was the best midfielder in the premier league.

Bac not happy with Cesc throwing teammates under the bus.
I love him so so much. This is nothing but facts too. I do think cesc meant mentally hence the reference to players laughing on the team bus however some fans & fabregas himself have gotten into their heads that he was perfect for us

10-11 team was better and more balanced

You’re bluffing, Cesc was instrumental to Conte title win even if he wasn’t at his peak.
Your constant Drogba comments are off key as well. If you want to praise Giroud just praise him, no need to spout nonsense about a bonafide elite striker.

Cesc was great for us and easily sh*ts all over Özil as well but he wasn’t perfect for us like some of you are trying to make out.
Cesc dropping off and losing interest in the second half of the season is a very valid critism.
Sagna is also correct in what he said in response to his recent comments.

What key player starts 13 games out of 34 that he was fit for?

It’s not a bluff at all, it’s fact.

I said instrumental, he still played his part.

Your drogba views are still wack.

7 months is actually generous. He was good up until January, that Sp**s game ruined him. Sp**s ran the Chelsea midfield ragged and he just wasn't the same. Chelsea were struggling massively the 2nd half of that season and 3 goalkeeping mistakes helped them get over the line. 2nd season we all know what happened. Conte's starting midfield was Matic-Kante in a 3-4-3 with Cesc coming off the bench from time to time, still had some good moments but he'd fallen off massively. Heck the game where we beat them 3-0 was the game Conte switched to 3-4-3 subbing off Cesc for Alonso and never looked back. Here was one of the most promising players now in what was supposed to be his peak years being used mainly as a sub. In the 17/18 season he actually started a lot but Chelsea went from champions to 5th. Sarri deemed him surplus to requirements favouring the likes of Jorginho ahead of him, while now he's at a Monaco side that have fallen massively since their shock 2017 title win and CL semi.

He’s struggling to get into that midtable Monaco side now as well. Aged like milk.

With a due respect to him, how can guy go from Lauren (Eboue) and Sagna to Bellerin. Lad hasn’t been the same since his debut season.

@Mitch aka LeeGunner was right ffs.
I called that he’d oust Debuchy and keep his position, then I was first to expose Hector as useless before it was cool. I give amazing tips and make people win money as well... Lad, join me on my path.

He checked out long ago. He’s there for a wage and Monaco needed a name. Suited both parties. Greatest midfielder of his type we ever had.

Yeah in my lifetime anyway, maybe him leaving wasn’t the disaster it was seen as at the time seeing how the rest of his career panned out though.

Club just fumbled the bag in building a balanced squad after he left.

That was difficult tbf. We lost him and Nasri within the space of weeks. ‘You can’t call yourself a big club if y.... ‘ That aged well, from Arsène. That was his last card

I’ll never understand why the club waited until the last twelve hours of the window to do its major business.

That summer was brutal with Chelsea pipping us to the Mata deal as well.
