You seem to have forgotten (intentionally I guess) that we got spanked against big teama before Özil ever arrived. We won a trophy the season Özil arrived, something the likes of Ramsey / Cazorla / Fabregas / van Persie couldn’t do during their time before Özil’s arrival. It’s not a coincidence that other players raised their level with a superstars arrival.
Giroud is better striker than Aubameyang and RVP.

See how stupid that sound?

All that is irrelevant. The most relevant question is "was Özil a better performer for us than Cazorla or not?

We both know the answer to that question
I never compared Cazorla to Özil though. Cazorla can be overrated even if I agree with him being better than Özil during their time here. Özil is the better player through his career though.

Talking generally, Cazorla has won nothing in his career, has never played for a super club either, doesn’t take away from him being an excellent baller though.

Ramsey you can say along with others, has given Wales a golden period, they’re qualifying for big tournaments with comfort and posing a threat to teams. Made TOTM in the last Euros. Obviously our highest scoring ever midfielder and now at a super club.

Özil, what can you say, one of the most decorated players ever, and one of the greatest creative players in the history of football.

The ad on top of this page showing the above image ffs. Numbers don’t lie, Özil has been a machine all his life.

You can argue joining Arsenal was a mistake as the club went on to hold him back.

He didn't have a choice, Madrid said he wasn't good enough, then immediately won the Champions League after selling him...makes you think...
He was nominated for the ballon d’or 1 year before leaving, and even when he left he finished the season with the most assists in Europe, Real even praised him after his departure. Every part of his career is literally littered with honours.

Leaving Real or Barca shouldn’t be seen as a negative, look at the impact Alexis Sanchez made here, I mean Barcelona won the CL straight after he left too. Look at Yaya Toure etc.

If anything, credit to these players for leaving and going elsewhere, because they could’ve sat on their contract like Bale.

Didn't Caz play a decent amount for Spain at Euro 2008...remember him scoring a pen in the win over Italy.

Outside Arsenal it would probably go...Özil > Cazorla > Ramsey (in terms of how they are viewed by the wider audience, at Arsenal that would probably be the reverse order)

Was half joking, love Mes and he has had a great career.

Just don't **** on the club, Arsenal in 2013 were probably the best team Özil could've joined after leaving Real...who else was there, United under Moyes

He was on bench for most of the time, but really competition in midfield was just too strong in those years for Spain.Iniesta,Xavi,Fabregas,Silva.

Yeah probably, he barley played for them when they won it in 2012.

That depth they had back then was ridiculous...a quality player like Arteta didn't even get a single cap, and he was a top player for Everton around that time...shows you how stacked Spain were (unfortunately for Mikel)

Yeah, think that most people questioned how he isn't in Spain's squad, while playing good for Everton and Arsenal. But i also forgot Xabi Alonso ,Mata and Busquets ,it was really dream team back than from 2008 to 2012.

This poll is just a weird AM thing, bitter women type stuff.

Outside Arsenal, nobody even talks about Santi. Nasri was levels above him too btw.

Santi will definitely be held in higher regard that Nasri ffs...Santi is a legend at Villarreal and is beloved at Arsenal, plus didn't he help save Real Ovideo or something.

As talented as Samir is/was, no one will remember him really, his career never really got going the way it should have.

Nasri was better for Arsenal than Santi. His form got City and Utd battling for him.

He fell off though massively, think he just lacked the desire.

Didn't Santi turn down Madrid when at Villarreal...I think Santi was better, plus he didn't move to a rival and we won trophies with him.

Nasri had an unbelievably high ceiling. Things went awry for him at City for whatever reason, had a good start to life there but as the seasons went on he just lost his way. Had a mini-revival at Sevilla for a brief period but the whole drip doctors affair certainly was the final nail in terms of him being a top level player anymore.

I think 2010 for a while moving into 2011 he was absolutely unbelievable though, that period was far better than anything Santi ever did imo.

Turned down Real? Why, to join Arsenal?

I don’t think so.

Did you really have to say "far better", think that's disrespectful to Santi's time here...Nasri was quality not saying he wasn't.

Think that Cazorla was more imporant player in our team. Our midfield lost many things since he wasn't there.Just type of player that we need now.Very confident on the ball, mobile, had great passes and vision.

Nasri was also good, but think that he didn't have some final word at Arsenal.Rememeber that he was good in his last season and had some decent games, but he also played in better team.It was easier to play without him than without Cazorla.
