Even if hes ready in 3, wrap him in cotton wool and make sure hes 100 % fit before throwing him in at the deep end. I find our players who come back from injury are targeted a lot more with late and dangerous challenges.

Are we finally learning our lesson and not letting contracts run down?
Shrewd business if so. He'd be on comparative peanuts to the rest of the squad. But in two years time could be our most valuable player. Tie him down.

The other side of the coin is, if Guendouzi is running around telling players he's on 40k a week, we've probably got a line out the door of our players wanting a pay rise.

Good news though I think he already had quite some time left in his original contract. Probably just gave him a deserved pay raise
