If it take 200k a week to convince him to come I wouldnt bother. It would show that the only reason he is coming is for money and we have enough of those players.
Arteta said himself if he had to convince players to come then they weren't worth it.

In one of his first interviews he was asked about transfers and he said he isnt interested in players who need to be convinced to come to Arsenal. Now if he has to pay Partey 3/4 times what hes getting at Atlettico to come that is convincing a player.
And that would be signing a player who is coming to Arsenal for the wrong reasons.

Every player needs convincing, they aren't just going to join as easy as that if they are enjoying their time where they are. If we've got to pay 2-3 times their wage to come then so be it. Still be worth it to come over.

Not if the reason for coming is money. He may need convinced regarding the project Arteta is selling.
What convinced Özil to resign? Money. Where has that got the club? Nowhere. Players who are solely money driven to a club will not care when the **** hits the fan as regardless of results they still get paid.

This new updated news isn't necassarily going to be right (maybe true) but if we can convince him to get us back up the top then it will be worth it imo. Money may not be what convinces him.
