Mikel Arteta: Aston La Vista To The Title?

Look at our back 4 today. So organised and solid against one of the most lethal attacking sides in Europe. We've done it twice in a row now against Liverpool. No one can now say we were lucky.

What I like about Arteta is that he doesn't just stick to one style and hope it works. He makes us play in a way that gives us the best chance against a better team. Mans got us parking the bus whilst scoring goals from playing out the back lol. He's like a combined Mourinho and Pep. Best of both worlds.

May be slightly different without crowds but interested to see how we do at the likes of Anfield and Etihad as we're currently set up.

definitely not lucky. We just made liverpool look like what they really are. A team with milner in the midfield.

Not a bit. He took one too many touches and took too long to play off the ball. It placed the team under too much pressure in the midfield.

i often wondered if he knew where emery buried the bodies after biting their necks. he just kept getting into the midfield everytime.

I was always on the Arteta bandwagon way before it even got traction but still supported Emery who took us to a European final and improved upon Wenger while introducing young players like Niles and Saka into the club.

Those dark days under Arsène are just a memory now. We're now back among competitors of trophies and not against ****ing Sunderland or Birmingham.

nicely put by the guardian.

Arsenal had played like this against Chelsea in the FA Cup final, sitting in a deep double bolt and breaking with precision. They almost scored again five minutes later as Eddie Nketiah robbed Joe Gomez just outside the centre circle, took the ball back from Saka but saw his low shot saved in extremis by Alisson.

On his touchline Klopp looked pensive in red and white baseball cap and Wembley-grey athleisure wear suit. Mikel Arteta was, as ever, a whirl of frantic energy, one hand stuffed into his pocket, the other endlessly pointing and flexing, like a man in a disco trying desperately not to dance. An empty game in an empty ground – but this was a wonderful start for Arsenal’s manager, two well-drilled homegrown attackers with a combined age of 39 pulling the Liverpool defence into uncomfortable shapes.

This just shows @Kingslayer was a visionary and a great loss to the institution. Wagner almost destroyed what was left of Arsenal but golden baldy set us up for success with the world against him.

Smart man this Arteta lad, doesn't overthink it. Constant change in formations and player positions in the first half was nice to see. Nagelsmann-esque.

Still can't stand looking at the Arsenal talk page ffs. Looks awful with about 8 threads the same picture then a few different.

He’s already won 2 trophies as a manager in less than a year, with the most dysfunctional Arsenal team on and off the pitch...yet Potch couldn’t win anything with Sp**s best ever Premiership era team, not even s contest.

Love him!

He looks so pleased and hr should be. The camera filmed him in the lead up to hid interview, and he was rubbing his hands and fidgeting-like a bundle of happy energy. His interviews start with him trying to look like a serious adult and then the smile just spreads across his face and his joy is laid bare. He still answers his questions very well but no mistake, this trophy is a great help. It's vindication of his methods and the application of the players.
